Very well said......just think about how effective this offense (and running game) could be with an effective, ACCURATE passer.

I worry that Jennings will be the starter again next year....effectively wasting all of the skill talent around him. Tigers will still win a lot of games due to overall talent superiority, but won't contend for a title. Very frustrating as a fan...

Uh, are you forgetting something?
2012 says hello. Quit twisting the truth. Cam developed Met.

Agree but Mett had other options. He had offers from bama and arky(at the time they were respectable with petrino)

They are not. Sitting on training wheels with a diaper.

Remember that play where Bama had 10 men on D & the Z WR was uncovered for 4 seconds pre-snap?!

Totally neutered .

Agree Mettenberger made big strides in his second year. Definitely improved after he arrived.

If I was a good qb out of high school I wouldn't want to put my future in CLM hands. Would you?

I'm starting to think Les views offense as a liability and his focus is on limiting that liability. I'm not sure 2008 hasn't scarred him for life.

Jennings was doing check w/me, so he didn't see him. It was Doral, so he was going to look at him as his first option, but we take so long to get a play off, we let them substitute. Later on, after that we tried to quick snap into the same play, but Bama, sniffed it out. They didn't need to substitute. Only LSU tries to be smart by being predictable.

We went 13-0 and won the SEC championship with a pitiful offense, so, yes you can win championships without an efficient passing game.

I agree with your sentiment, though. We need to develop a passing game. Of course that's true.

I'm calling bullshite.

I think Mettenberger made Cam look good, and not the other way around.

I said that years ago. Believe Jarrret Lee was traumatic for Miles. Instead of letting Lee take his lumps and learn, he went the "safer" route with JJ and the "dual threat" QB.

It's not Bc of skill it's Bc of coaching period. We retard our qb development Bc of the vanilla offense that we run and the situations that out qbs are put in Bc of the situations. Run run pass. Run run pass.

8-26-78-1-1 will not win you many ball games. Something needs to be done IRT quarterback play. Outside of Mett, LSU hasn't played a good QB since 2007.

I wouldn't say it's "obvious." But I agree that for a home game, Harris should have played at least some last night.

Ill be extremely dissappointed but not surprised if he doesnt get alot of playing time in our last 3 games

Its obvious to me that he has a chance to be one of the best qbs in college football

Agreed.

Miles isn't going anywhere. He has tremendous job security. He should use the rest of the season to see what he has at QB.

I don't think he will.

I've been saying this same thing for years. You get upvotes and accolades, I get banned and called nasty names relentlessly.

Interesting dynamic.
