It's not like the quality of life in this country hasn't continued to improve for those that are smart and hard-working. Once the dead weight that is the boomers die off, things will improve drastically.

I'm from neither but what strikes me is how both millennials and boomers are very much alike in a couple of key areas

1. They are totally overly impressed with themselves when in reality they've not done much of anything of real worth.

2. They think they're far more important than they really are.

3. They think that every one who came before them is totally wrong about virtually everything thus they have virtually zero respect for their elders.

The more I think about it, the more I see there is virtually no difference between the two.

That is every generation ever. Stupid. The only reason you don't see that is because you share every personalty flaw you listed.

Every generation has said this about the following generation since ever.

"That Cain, I don't know, he seems pretty dang bad."

The baby boomers have mortgaged our future. Instead of using their insights to advance us as a species, they've used it for over the top consumerism, and are giving Generations X and Y the bill for their fun. It's a good thing our generation is quite a bit more frugal than the Boomers, since we're going to need it. We'll be here cleaning up your mess and hopefully actually progress ourselves as a species rather than being a bunch of consumerist frickheads like your generation. All yall's generation did to the others is frick them over with your ridiculous spending that no generation before or since has done.

This post encompasses my three points perfectly. The Millienals are smarter than everyone who came before them and will save the world and the rest of us from our own ignorance and sloth. They're the greatest generation of all time since the dawn of human civilization. They're going to light a fire that will change the world.

Question Mr. Ball:

1. You will have Social Security because you paid into it. I pay into SS. Will it be there for me?

***BONUS QUESTION*** I went to college. Tuiton was 300% higher than when you graudated(if you are a baby boomer). Why is that?

Disagree. Us boomers got most of our influence from our parents. We didn't have the social media instruments of today to wile our time away like those under the age of 30 do nowadays. Respect towards our elders was lesson #1 in life.

I don't know what planet you live on but if you think the work force of America and human nature in General is improving then you have your head in the sand. Time will tell.

This is certainly wildly untrue. But generations are a product of the ones that created them, ad infinitum. And the luck of history has a great deal to do with it. Millenials have no reason to grow up. Other generations have had no choice.

Was it not the Boomers who coined the phrase "Don't trust anyone over 30"?

Everybody is capable of clarity and candor. Especially for something this broad, how can you not see how silly it is to be so general?

I would say the baby boomers totally screwed this country, and though it might take awhile, our generation (millenials) will be the one to rescue it

I'm going to respectfully disagree with regards to millenials saving it. Our generation severely lacks in any understanding of finance or economics. This generation is going to be defined by social issues. Not saying baby boomers were good by any means (obviously), but our generation is not going to make things better in that realm.

Social issues are great and all, but sound economic policies need to come first.

You can't prove it to be untrue. And you you can't certainly prove it to be wildly untrue. Unless you believe that we are are declining as a species (you are an emo girl) then you cannot dispute the general truth in the statement.

Personal finance is one thing, but no generation has a solid grasp on economics. We are purposefully taught shitty econ in school so that no one has an understanding of how wealth is created.
