How annoying is this (USPS delivery/tracking)?

Usps tracking is terrible. Don't expect it to be updated. And if you need to sign for the package, expect to pick it up at the post office.

USPS delivery and tracking is awful. Last item that I ordered from Monoprice.com came in through USPS. I paid a few extra bucks for 2-day shipping on a Thursday morning, and it didn't come in until the following Wednesday... Oh and it never told me they delivered it, just that it was "out for delivery". I had to check with my apartment complex's front office to find out I had a package.

This. Just had a $200 purchase that was marked "delivered" on 11/1. It wasn't. Fortunately it showed up on Monday.
I think like alot of gov stuff, USPS employees have figured out how to game the metrics so they look like they're doing a better job than they are.
Kinda like McDonalds asking you to pull up out of the window area so that they still hit their "30 seconds per car" metric.

USPS tracking is horrible. I got a package 12 hours before it updated on the tracker and notified me of the delivery. The worst is "undeliverable as addressed". That's the USPS term for "I'm too f-ing lazy to bring you this package so come get it from the post office"

Amazon Prime has been using USPS a lot recently for me. Hate it so much.

I think it is amazing that this is even available now. Not long ago you had to just hope and wait. You should listen to this.

I just got a text on my phone about the package. I got excited and thought it might have been delivered, nope, it just got to Memphis.

I've also been a victim of it's tracking system saying it has been delivered only for it to show up the next day. They definitely try to work the system.

My post office has the enraging habit of just delivering the "sorry we missed you" card when you have something shipped Express Overnight - their most expensive service. I was waiting on my couch for something and the dude just put the "sorry we missed you" card in the mailbox. So I had to go to the post office to retrieve it - but not that day, it was still on the truck. I avoid them now.
