I didn't understand that...she was kidnapped (or let's just say taken) by someone with the white cross on the car, but that was when she and Darryl were getting overrun in that house. They made it sound like she was about to die and they saved her, but surely she'd protest when taken that she was with Darryl. The way they explained it, it seemed like they found her unconscious on the road about to be eaten or some shite.

That explanation didn't make much sense to me, unless I missed something.

She said she was fighting walkers and then she went black. I think they sneaked and clocked her.

I don't remember her breaking her wrist but I think that must have happened when she was banging on the trunk door.

I don't get the hate for these type of episodes

They showed us a new group but they are neither a compelling ally or villain. Dawn has her head so far up her arse she thinks she'll get brownie points for everyone's clothes being clean and pressed when help finally arrives. It also didn't help that Beth was the focus of this side trip. Even though the purpose of the episode was to make her grow stronger, Beth is still one of the weaker characters.

We really don't know what happened, cause it went from her being in the house with Daryl to the car driving off. So know one really knows what happened outside while Daryl was still inside going ham on walkers.

They see Noah escape, probably Beth fail to escape, get the details from Noah and know that Carol would be the one they'd take in rather than Daryl.

They also may have seen Daryl at the funeral home as well

Worst episode of the season for sure. By itself, it may have been one of the worst of the series. In the context of the rest of this season, it was still better than much of season 2.

My wife (a bigger fan than me) stopped watching after the first 10 minutes. She said it felt like she was watching a completely different show. I could see where she was coming from, but I wanted to see the new character and get an idea of what he was all about.

Beth has probably always been my least favorite character, and this episode just made me dislike her even more. I kind of hope she dies at the hospital.

It's getting a lot of hate because the first 3 episodes were totally different and adrenaline packed. I dont' mind that they diverted here, I just don't like that they are now moving away from the hospital. Do another episode and finish it. Then have the Abraham story. End the midway point on a cliffhanger. Start up with the group getting back together.

still better than Dale going around trying to gather votes not to kill someone.

I think everyone's expectations might have been a little high after the first 3 episodes.

Not sure if this fits with all the comments here, but in the first Talking Dead episode after the season's opener, it was stated that a part of this season will consist of flashbacks..."then" , diving into different character's background in more detail.I'm just glad it seems Maggie is going to be back. I liked it but then I am only obsessed with Maggie, not the whole show.

Said it last week, was hoping it wasn't an hour of Beth only.

Reminds me of the Andrea only episodes and getting to know the governor.

Anyone know how many episodes they'll have before mid-season break?

4 more would be my guess. Ever since they had 16 episode seasons, episode 8 has been the mid-season finale.

Running and jumping zombies.

Y'all laugh but you need to go check out S1 Episode 3, I believe. Rick and Co. were escaping from Atlanta out near that train facility.

Black Herschel Walker runs at fence, scales fence in one jump then dead full on sprint for the van.

My favorite WTF of many in this show.

The other being them throwing a brick threw a glass window.

I like this show but I find it trips over its own feet. Find a direction, stick with it. There being 3-4 side shows happening, I don't find interesting. I find myself being drawn to the main one then just getting aggravated with the others.

Maybe some do not feel this way but the hospital, I find very uninteresting. The only thing I could see them actually carrying over from this is maybe taking the Doctor along. It's like the writers were forced to write an arc for this girl Beth because she is cute and don't want to kill her off. It just seems trivial at best, as this will not affect anything in the characters arc besides filling time.

BTW, the show he was on Everybody Hates Chris. That's why they're saying that.

There isn't a show called "Everybody Hates Noah."

Yeah, I know.

Thanks for having my back about "Go On" though!

Yeah. I don't mind them deviating from the main plot to show others people's viewpoints but it needs to be interesting and this hospital shite just wasn't very good.

This episode falls on the writers, there are so many things they could have done with Beth, what they gave us wasn't good enough.

I would hope that by now Daryl or someone taught her how to Hotwire a car. Seems like something that would need to be known in a zombie wasteland.

hotwiring a modern car is almost a movie myth.

You can yes run power to the ignition and then touch the starter to power and start the engine, even with a lot of electronics. But you would have to break the steering column to disengage the steering wheel lock.

The only realistic way to do it is in a key start car to destroy the ignition cylinder and then start the vehicle.

It seems this story line will dominate the rest of the season.

Episode 5 seems to be Abe-Eugene-Rosita centric.

Episode 6 will likely show Carol and Daryl looking for Beth and how Carol ended up in the hospital.

Episode 7 will probably pick up at the end of Episode 4. The group will head to Atlanta to rescue Beth.

Episode 8 rescue Beth and Carol, somehow meet up with Abe, head to DC.
