I had the Jai Alai IPA this past weekend at The Columbia in Tampa
We did Berns. I tried but we couldn't squeeze in The Columbia.
ETA: Waiter at a Hotel what's on tap? He says got a great selection Craft brews.
Whadda ya got? He names one. What else? He looks confused, Not sure but it's dark and it's got lots of Hops.
Me: I'll try it. Brings me a Jai Alai.
Me: Mmmmmm....

I really like it. Wish we could get their beers here.

As for the Cigar City Invasion Pale Ale, it left much to be desired.

Hrm...
As a style of beer, I prefer IPAs to Pale Ales, as I like the hoppier stuff.
However, I guess if I were rating Inversion against other PA's and Jai Alai against other IPAs (kind of like ranking college QBs and NFL QB amongst their peers rather than all thrown in together), I would rank Inversion higher amongst PA's than I would Jai Alai amongst IPAs.
In fact, I found Inversion to have more flavor than many IPAs I've tried, which is something that makes me a big fan of the beer.

CCB's own brewmasters refer to Invasion as a session IPA but its officially titled an APA.
I think the lines that separate an APA from an IPA have gotten a bit blurry but true to definition Invasion is lower in ABV and IBU than Jai Alai.
I love Jai Alai but in terms of what I buy and drink I'd buy Invasion 9 out of 10 times.

I'm not real sure what the next step is for CCB. Finding fresh Jai Alai in Florida is much easier than it was just one year ago. I know that Philly, NYC and some others have seen CCB distro in the past year or so but I've not heard of any other expansion.
Some of CCB's products are going to be contract brewed by Brewhub at a facility in Lakeland, FL. The Brewhub Company is in the process of opening another facility in St. Louis which could be a game changer for CCB if they were to contract brew Jai Alai there as well. That's all speculative of course.
