Lost the S. State baseball championship to our biggest rival. Cried a bit, took some family photos, and whatever else goes along with such occasions.

Last competitive game of any kind was a Coed C League Softball game when I was in my late thirties. The last year I played we won our league for the first time & were playing in the the Dallas C League playoffs. Lost our first two games on the same day & were out of it. Everyone knew we had all gotten too old & wouldn't be good the next year because they make you move up a level when you win a league.

We had been playing in three different C Leagues with the same group of people for five years. Were way over our heads in an Arlington league & Ft Worth one, but were competitive in the Dallas City C league. Was cool to win the league, but losing those two games was like a bad dream.

HS baseball game was 2.5 hours away got there on Monday played the top of the 1st. I was the 3 hole hitter and the pitcher struck out the side in the top of the 1st then it just pissed rain so game is called until next day drive back home then back again next day. Ended up going 3/4 and losing the game, went on to play in College.

Played in the ODAC in Virginia and we sucked big time. Never won more than 10 games a season. Won Freshman of the year. Senior year I go into the final game leading the conference in batting avg playing a shitty team too. I go 0/5 and lose my batting title. I lose it at the end of the game my dad (a man of few words) says to me there are a lot of losing moments in life son, this isnt one of them.

Graduated in 1993. Last game was 2nd round of playoffs, we were tied 14-14 at half with Neville. Lost 34-14. Pretty sure there were some tears shed, but then some of us got a case or 2 of beer, went to a friends house with a middle school FB field in the neighborhood got drunk and tossed the football around/played a pick up game in the dark for couple of hours. Then lamented about how bad it hurt losing and never playing again.

I walked on for a couple of years, but it wasn't nearly the same when that came to an end.

Placed 6th at a regional track meet my senior year. Didn't make state.

I went about my normal routine for the rest of the meet and cheered on my friends, but I don't think I left the locker room till about 2am. I knew I wasn't college material and that was pretty much the best I was going to do.

A very prominent Olympic coach/ friend was there watching and said "you did the best you could ever do with what God gave you. You did good"

Basically you did pretty good for having no natural talent

Not my last game. But it was our last home game my senior year. Senior night I stole a 20 oz bottle of moonshine and me and my middle linebacker split it an hour before game time. I was buzzing the entire game. I had 13 tackles 3 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. Every sack I had was a fumble that we recovered.I wish I would have played every game with that intensity. Knowing that would be my last in front of family and friends and those fine arse girls I was always chasing motivated me. If I would have carried that motivation with me into every game I ever played. I could have earned a big time scholly.

Pitched a shutout against Hawthorne High in L.A. Never played again on account of coach disapproved of my marijuana smoking. No problem; I had no future as a ball player, but an excellent one as a dope fiend.

Had a slight tear, but didn't sob.

Our team was mediocre, and we blew 2 out of our last 3 to finish 5-4, not good enough for postseason

Our football team sucked. We didn't win a game my junior or senior year. However, the best game I ever had was our final game. 11 solo tackles and 156 yards rushing. Even though we still lost, I left the field knowing I had played the best I could. Got a little misty knowing it was my last game, but also didn't mind the losing being over.

State championship game I was on the mound we were up by 1 bases loaded 2 outs last inning. Guy hits a routine fly to center field our center fielder says he lost it in the sun 2 runs scored we loose the game. I was pissed. I knew I wasn't going to college and at that point riding on the bus it hit me. it was over forever the one thing I did my whole life was gone. I wasn't prepared for it. I tried softball beer leagues. Just not the same playing baseball was one of the best times of my life but I never realized
it at the time

I went out with a whimper in my last high school match. Lost 6-2 6-3 to CMR(Great Falls)'s #1 in the state tournament quarterfinals. I may never forget that last backhand in the net and the distinct feeling of "well, that was embarrassing". Being hugged by my coach was a bit more emotional than I bargained for.
