It is disappointing, because I know had we lost, people would still be talking about.

As long as Wisconsins wins all the games on their schedule it will be seen as a very good win by the people that matter. Wisconsin has a great shot of going 11-1 or at worst looks like 9-3 (and that's dropping some very questionable games).

That's the way it always goes. Once we beat a team they are considered to be not a good team.

Sadly, its all about style points nowadays, at least in the middle of the season. Apperntly if you don't win convincingly, you don't actually win

Wisconsin played a rent a win and then took last week off. If they start winning big games then I expect LSU to get respect for that win.

I fully expected the OP to mean so little.

We got outplayed by Wisconsin. I think that's the difference between our top 25 win and some others.

What's really crazy is just about every analyst says,"If Wisky wouldve kept running the ball, they win." As if LSU didn't really win the game so much as Wisky lost it

ESPN

Generate interest in their game, more people watch, better ratings, advertising $$$. Why is this so hard for so many to understand?

Why else would Lou Holtz still be employed by them? He's the man that people love to hate. Same thing with Herbstreit.

no.

not EVERYONE thinks our game against Wisky was a show of power. the season is young. if we're good, we'll get the appropriate recognition but we simply have to earn it.

I think if we went in and completely KO'd them it would be more of a "big" win to analyst but since we struggled and had to come from behind it is viewed as a " Wisconsin handed them the game". I think most analyst don't have a lick of faith in our run defense. People will definitely view a win over MSU as a bigger win over a ranked Wisconsin IMO. People seem to be in love with MSU this week.

The more impressive wins have been by TAM and SC for sure. But I wouldn't have imagined how many times I've heard analysts say "They haven't played anybody, yet." ESPN hates LSU.

Give it time. Wisky may end up highly ranked.

You do understand, once Wisconsin racks up a great record and has moderate success passing vs their remaining schedule...
the experts will say LSU "caught them early" or something like that.

Kinda like Auburn last year.
