At least 2 or three times he turns around and everyone was going in a different direction and he just has to take off running. Did miles address this? Maybe it's just freshman not knowing the play book well enough?

That's exactly what it is. He seems to get confused about the play being called in, although that's not exactly surprising.

that or nerves...that is why gameday reps are valuable

Yeah a couple of times he turns one way to hand it off and the fb and hb are running the other way.
"Why isn't Harris starting against Wisconsinnnn????? "

Dude just needs more reps. Both Jennings and Harris look like great QB's. Familiarity with the speed of the game will help them become better at the position. The only "problem" is balancing the playing time while not hindering the rhythm of either QB.

I think the game is just extremely fast for him right now. Which is understandable. He's got nerves doesn't know the playbook perfectly and just messes up. All of that will come with time and reps.
That's why I wish we would let him throw some in the 2nd half. Those are valuable snaps. But don't do as much when you are just handing it off up the guy

He needs more reps, but you can tell he is coming along slowly. Looked like a deer in headlights in his first series against Wisconsin, understandably.
Jennings is our guy this season. Obviously, Harris needs to be ready to go since he is next man up. I could easily see Harris making a run for the job next season, depending on whether Jennings really progresses from game manager to legitimate weapon. Harris will be scary once he gets the playbook down, gets more experience, and gains some weight. fricking scary

There is NOTHING easy about what he is having to do, early enrollee or not. True freshman playing in the SEC will give most the deer in the headlights look.

Harris ran back to the sideline between almost every play against SHSU to get the play. Sometimes it looked like he was over there for more than just the play call, like he had to have it explained.
Hopefully it'll come for him though. Contrary to what most people think, I believe Les and Cam are handling his transition well.
However the people who think Harris needs to start should pay more attention to the positives and negatives of both QBs. We're better off with Jennings than most think.
The O line is another story...

Harris is coming along slowly and its fine. I called that we would not be in great shape If he had to start game one. He has as the tools and will be a great qb with more reps.
He only played four years of organized football before he enrolled. In high school he didnt take snaps from under center and they didnt call plays in the huddle. Plays were called in By number and he didnt have to Read defenses or audible. Harris Just needs more time and practice with the basics and he will be good.

I noticed that too

No one should be surprised a true freshman isnt running the offense perfectly in games 1-3. A HUGE reason why he never had a real chance to start the season.
