For some reason I never thought of eating them when I had a stove. The other thing I used to hate was when I got the ones in gelatin.

Its a USCG boating regulation: life jackets, signal kit, Vienna sausage all have to be on the boat to be legal.

Sure did. I drew the line at potted meat though.

Vienna sausages go great with budweiser. Don't know why, they just do.

Carried this, potted meat, spam in my Escape and Evade pack for when I would be shot down. Along with an AR15 and 25 double clips.

Had my family send me the food in Vietnam, lost it when I crashed in the water, dang - never got to eat any of it

I did. Every once in a while I will eat some now but it's disappointing.

All canned meat tastes better on the water.

Grandma would always have them at her house. And I loved them. Haven't had one in years though.

Anyone above 40 has eaten this stuff, along with potted meat.

They were a staple growing up. My dad still takes them fishing and camping.

My family always pronounced them VY-ehna. (First part rhymes with eye). I was called out by some city slickers for that recently.

Its the only meat you can eat fishing and use as bait at the same time.
