Ubered my way around town until after the game when my phone died and I got stuck in that INSANE line to get on the metrorail. NEVER riding that again!

I didn't go, watched the game in birminham, it was ok

I'm still having it we stayed another day. Was in the Galleria today and a Wisconsin fan said as we walked by.. all they want to do is talk about it and all we want to do is move on. Saw lots of tigers in the mall today

Houston sucked!!!
Getting to and from the game was awful and for some reason they stop selling beer before the 3rd quarter ended. Trying to get back to the trian after the game was terible. People were having to climb fences to get out.
I would have thought they would have been better prepared for a game featuring two large fan bases.

Dallas was definitely a step ahead as far as logistics.

We had a blast. The stadium pales in comparison to the Dallas stadium but it is closer to home and was like Tiger Stadium West. Houston is a spread out generic city, but we had a lot of fun. Good Mexican food. Nino's is a very good Italian restaurant. I have been going to Houston since the 1970's for LSU out of town games (Rice)and would like to see the tradition continue.

It's not a Houston problem. That's a you problem. Sorry you don't travel much.

I agree that it's not as lavish as Jerry World, but that's one of the things I liked most about it. I found the sight lines to be better and the atmosphere was more like a college game because it got crazy loud in there. Overall, I enjoyed the experience much more than the previous trips to Dallas for neutral site games.

So it's my fault that the light rail couldn't handle the amount of people there?

Wisky females + LSU females was the best female CFB crowd I have ever seen
The hotness ratio was off the charts everywhere you went before during and after the game

Done Dallas and now Houston and much prefer Houston (although I prefer Houston and Ft. Worth to Dallas in general). Other than leaving the stadium last night everything else is better as Houston condenses people inside the loop versus Dallas where people tend to stay all over the place and scatter out more.

No. It's not your fault the light rail was over loaded.
It's your fault to blame a city bc they have the same problems of a surge event. When BR has the same problems every other Saturday in the fall.

Chicken told me up take main into the stadium, turn on murworth and park at the harris county annex
That was money
Getting out was easy, went back up main, left on Kirby, up to 59 and on to the west park tollway to Katy
That was money
We went to reserve and BTE Friday night and had a great time. Saw a ton of early to mid 90s era LSU people at the show.
Pregame drank at the crown plaza bar and watched BAMA game.
Great time all around and the wisky fans were awesome. Saw a few tense drunkard confrontations but no fights, HPD was all around

Disappointed. Went to 3 of the TD "everything you need to know about Houston" bars--vibe was lame. Went to he Front Porch and Coaches and one other.

All I saw before the game from people in Houston was how awesome the metro line is and how Houston sees crowds like this all the time and how not to stay by the stadium.
Seems like everything in here contradicts that

Why did so many of you end up trying to go to bars downtown? Just curious if somebody recommended that. Midtown is much more bar friendly area where there are maybe 15 watering holes within walking distance. Only time I would ever go to a bar downtown is if I have to meet someone who is staying downtown there.

We had a great trip, got to hit up several very fun watering holes/eateries, but I was surprised about how unprepared almost every place we went was. Almost all were understaffed, beer lines were way too long at several places.
Went to get a beer at Baker St. before we left town today, the bartender was still whipped from yesterday.

horseshite.
Atlanta, Indianapolis, NOLA and Dallas were all better prepared than Houston was this weekend.

We initially had something booked near the stadium, but some of my friends really wanted to go to the saucer on Saturday so we moved to the Magnolia. We also had plans to see BTE so downtown seemed like a logical option.
Midtown seemed like a better option, but getting on the rail downtown was easier the further north you were (as long as you started about 4 pm).
Downtown was also suggested numerous times for those maybe a little older and not necessarily college aged or late 20s, early 30s.
