With that schedule, 9 wins.
They will change quarterbacks.
They will change quarterbacks.

Did everyone forget that this was the first game of the season? Saban's first season we lost to UAB! Struggling in the first game is not the end of the world, fair weather fans... We have a crazy amount of talent that will, without a doubt, get much much better over the next 2-3 weeks. Bookmarking "The sky is falling, OMG!!!" Posts so we can all laugh at the bandwagon riding by at the end of the season. Geaux Tigers! Geaux away haters...

From what we know. They win 7 games. If QB develops and the coaches don't hide Gordon in a trunk somewhere they could win 9 or ten. They have a great running back with a weak schedule. But the depth on d stinks and so does that safety playing QB. They would be better off putting him back in the secondary and playing the QB from last season.

Hard to say how they would do against really good teams, but with their schedule, I'd be shocked if they don't win at least 9 in the regular season, and my prediction is 10. 11 would surprise me less than 9 would. They should be a heavy favorite to win the B1G West. I could see them beating Ohio State in the B1G CG, but would not be as confident if they face Michigan State.
My prediction for Wisconsin:
10-2 regular season, division champion, lose in B1G CG, play in a B1G-SEC bowl in Florida.

The guy on Sportscenter after the game had it pegged about the QB:
"He was a safety for this team last season, and he looked like it tonight."
With better play from McElvoy, they could do some things in their conference. They can't rely on Gordon to do everything on offense.

At 0-1, I think they are easily a 10 win team that will overpower their schedule because they won't face teams with players like LSU that can make those huge game-saving type plays that bailed us out yesterday. If they beat Iowa they may be 11-1. Especially if they go back to Stave.

Seriously I thought wis was horrible.....they looked like one of those small schools trying to get recognition...

Actually no. They have a really good USCe team all they could handle in the bowl game last year.
Then they completely dominated us in the trenches for the first 40 minutes. They don't have the depth of a team like LSU which caught up to them in the end.
Also some questionable 2nd half play calling by their coaching. Too many passes only 3 Gordon runs in the 2nd half.
But again no one matches up with them the rest of the year. They have an elite O-line and 2 NFL caliber running backs along with a solid defense. Losing 2 starters last night will hurt them but they will still be playing slow big 12 teams rest of the year.
10-2 seems about right. Wouldn't be surprised to see 11-1. Moreso than I would 9-3.

Wisconsin is a lot like Iowa. A zone blocking scheme, seldom pulling guards. This usually takes about 4 games. Both developmental programs. Run heavy, and passing based on play action. It explains Iowa's success against SEC schools as there isn't a bunch of zone ol play down there.
Where it looks like it departs this early season is that there was no downfield separation by their receivers. LSU figured this out last night, although it baffles me why it took so long to start to cheat the corners and safties.
Will they get better? Yes, but so will everyone else.
Now the real question is were they overrated? I believe so. I believe both Wiscy and Nebby were overrated, and MSU underrated in the B1G. FWIW, the B1G is about as strong top to bottom this year as it has been in a while.
It's August. Frankly neither team looked really good. Actually very few teams so far this weekend looked any good, but that's always the case.
Having said all of that, if I was a LSU fan I wouldn't discount beating an 8 win Wisconsin program.
Close early season games like this are great coaches games.
So what I'm say, which I'll get ridiculed for, is that the sky isn't falling for either LSU or Wiscy. Frankly I'd be encouraged if I was LSU.

Their schedule is hilarious. They are a good team with a horrendous QB. If they're smart they'll give the guy who's actually a QB a chance to play.

I'm not sure how much of last night was on their qb, and how much on their receivers. The one pick should have been a back shoulder throw. That one seems obvious. Several times their receivers were in the wrong place.

The biggest red flag to me for Wisconson was that the first 60ish% of that game really couldn't have gone much better for them and they still managed to lose. They appear to be a team that is built to play with a lead. They, theoretically at least, should have been able to grind that one out even with a surging LSU. I think their defense lacks depth, though they should get some of their DL back.
Other thing is that I'd guess they'd have to throw Stave back in. Their D played fairly well for the first half of the game (again, I think depth played a factor here) but their secondary was suspect. I don't know how good McEvoy is at saftey, but maybe he can help there. He was good at scrambling that definitely helped them move the chains a bit, but other than that, he really was pretty bad. If Stave can boost their pass game it would help to balance their O that was VERY one dimensional last night. Their TEs seemed to be pretty good so even if their recievers suck they should be able to at least have a marginal passing game. Their O line opened some serious holes for their line and even gave the QB decent enough time.
I honestly think they will finish the season around where they started ~15ish.

With their schedule? At least 8 wins, probably more.

i really dont know, they have shite at qb, wr, te, and not much on d though i thought that white safety was pretty good
prob 7/8 wins, maybe as high as 9 if they get anything from the qb and skill spots
gordon is a stud though. thank goodness he got keilanded.

They won't lose that many games because of their cup cake schedule.
The question is difficult to answer because they are very thin at D line.
If they get healthy, they are somewhere between #20 and #25.

Well what does that make us?
A team with a whole lot of question marks.
This is going to be a long season.

They have premier offensive and defensive line talent and one of the best rbs in college football. However, their qb is not a passing threat and their great d-line has no depth. Their recievers are below average and their capable corners cannot run with sec speed. That being said, they are a 9 win team in the big 10 and will likely be ranked for much of the season. They would not fare nearly as well in a more pass happy league like the big 12 or pac 12.

they will probably win 10 games
