New signs posted at the entry to campuses in a Texas school district warns possible evil-doers that their staff is armed and “may use whatever force is necessary” to protect students.
“Please be aware that the staff at Argyle ISD (Independent School District) are armed and may use whatever force is necessary to protect our students,” the signs say.

If asurob1 sees this thread, he'll blow a gasket and call those teachers douchebags.

“I think if a tragedy does occur, lives can be saved by guns being in the right hands…”
Teachers who wish to carry firearms are required to undergo a psychological evaluation, gun training and must hold a handgun license, the local CBS affiliate reported.
People are starting to come back to their senses.
There is always a chance of someone, somewhere, effing it all up, and then right back to where it was.
But, as long as anyone can have guns, there is a better chance with them being in the right hands, or at least to our best discretion of the right hands.

I have a few coworkers who have kids that go to Argyle ISD and they are A okay with this as well as I am. I have personally seen the signs and it sends a message.

Love it.
Gun free zones are idiotic.

This sample size is pretty small but if it catches on in Texas it will be a matter of time before something bad happens.

Yea it's a terrible idea. No guns equals no shootings. I mean teachers have been disarmed for decades and there has NEVER been a tragedy....

The staff can correctly be taken as a whole or as a sum of parts. In this context, "staff" is a group of concerned individuals.
“staff .... may use whatever force is necessary to protect our students”

Ironically the way Sentrius wrote the subject line.

People carry guns in every state now, some states CCW is very common. Please explain "something bad happens"
