How can we lose 3 games?

Let's analyze the nine games that will be "competitive" games and assign a percentage chance that LSU will win:

60% . . #14 Wisconsin
80% . . Mississippi St
55% . . @ #6 Auburn
60% . . @ Florida
95% . . Kentucky
70% . . #18 Ole Miss
40% . . #2 Alabama
90% . . Arkansas
75% . . #21 Texas A&M

I'm just spitballing with the numbers. But if, for the sake of argument, we say the percentages are right, then we lose 2.75 games of the nine listed. That's spittin' distance from three games.

I think we will lose at least three. I think Bama is almost a given. I think we lose at least one out of the AU and FL back to back road trips. I also think we will lose one to one of the MS teams.

Youth at some positions is acceptable and not a problem. Youth a the QB position is an issue that loses games.

I would actually be completely satisfied with 9-3 this season.

Next year, however, I think anything less than making the playoff will be a failure. There will be too much experienced talent for that not to be the expectation.

I understand I might be asking for too much
I just always hear people making predictions and they sound so sure of themselves. Then when you ask them why all they can do is just mention other teams or say we are replacing players at key positions.

I for one say we can lose to Auburn because it is @Auburn and we never seem to play amazing there regardless of us winning the last 2 out of 3 or something there. I also feel like they know how to win games and put up a lot of points on teams fast.

I can't really think of a reason why we should lose to Florida other than it being in the swamp and they have a great D.

I can obviously see us losing to Bama because Saban and obviously the most talented team in the country as far as recruiting goes.

I just honestly don't have any real reasons why we SHOULD lose 3 games, just why it may be a possibility. All teams have questions just like we do. I rather predict our potential losses as wins I guess. I just trust Cam.

We did average the fewest punts per game last year in the country. THAT'S A HUGE STAT. We had Mett, Odell, Jarvis, and Hill the year before. CAM is the it factor fellas.

WEll its right there in front of you. It is what it is. QB and WR and DL are question marks that will be answered as the year goes on. Can we beat everyone on the schedule?? Sure. But I doubt it happens. Hey lets just beat Wisky 1st and then see what happens.

I'm not saying we lose three games. I'm just saying that no one can accurately predict the future.

Most of the time you win when you're supposed to win. Sometimes you win when you're the underdog. However, upsets happen to everybody.

It's foolish to try and pick the games you think LSU will lose. No one can pick all of the "win" games; no one can pick all of the "lose" games.

This is way too high. Yes, we're more talented that Arky, but we play them the week after Bama and ON THE ROAD. We'll be emotionally as flat as a pancake, and they'll be sky high for us. And they always play us tight.

So it's a trap game. I said the same thing last year about Ole Miss and where they fell on our schedule.

If we beat Arky, it will be close, and ugly.

I think we lose 3 or 4:

Very likely losses:

Auburn - Miles has never beaten AU on the plains if AU is anything more than the worst team in the SEC. They figure to be at least "good" this year, so it's a likely defeat.

Alabama - They have more talent and a better program. We can beat them, but those two factors suggest that expecting to win is illogical.

Another one or two losses out of the following:

Ole Miss - Miles always struggles with OM in Tiger Stadium, so a loss is a possibility and OM has better talent than usual.

Wisconsin - They have less talent than LSU, but they are a strong program that has enough to beat us. I think LSU wins, but an opening game with a green QB suggests a loss is possible. My confidence in winning is buoyed by Miles' record in regular season non-conference games.

Florida - Tough to beat UF in the Swamp and they have more than enough talent to rebound from their putrid season in '13.

Arkansas - For whatever reason, Miles often struggles against Arkansas as well. I expect a win here, but who knows with Les vs Arkansas.

When Auburn's been ranked high, we've lost 3 very close games. (like 8 points total in the 3 losses).

Freshman QB will lose two games in the SEC...

I see 9-3 with win 10 coming in the bowl.

Next year is the year.
