Good

These are the type of people who need to adapt or GTFO for the republican party to ever become a respectable representative of true conservatism. Their insistence of social bullshite is one of the greatest advantages the democratic party currently has.

Do you think the evangelicals are going to vote democrat?

To me the republicans do the evangelicals a lot like democrats do with the Black vote. They talk a big game about how they are going to help them. But in reality... they don't do a damn thing to actually improve the lot of their respective blocs.

Some will do like I did in the last two presidential elections, vote third party or not vote at all.

right now the republicans are 100% fricked without the evangelical vote. they wouldn't clip 35% without it.

Right, just like the Dems are fricked without the environmentalist vote, or the union vote, or the black vote, etc. Yet nobody is telling them they need to ditch those groups.

The difference is that those groups will tolerate a small betrayal on one issue in order to cater to another faction of the party, the evangelicals don't seem to understand that our two party system is essentially two giant coalitions but instead seem to believe that their agenda should over rule all other segments of the Republican voter base.

Some recent fissures have been evident-One of them was the lack of compassion by some on the right-such as Coulter and Donald Trump-to the Ebola Dr being brought back to the US. This was remarked upon in several evangelical blogs and message boards.

Evangelicals don't care about compassion. They care that the government prohibits certain contracts and certain ingestion of certain substances because of their personal sensibilities.

I'm one of the most anti-religion posters on this board, and I have no problem saying that's painting evangelicals with too broad a brush.

Evidently you love making a mountain out of a molehill in more ways than one.

For starters, they only people pushing your belived homosexual and abortion issues have been federal judges and the SCOTUS on abortion.

No states until they got Maryland on the same ticket as the presidential ticket has voted for homosexual marraige and many states have voted against it.

So your thesis is BS on that account.

There are more republicans in the House of representatives than dems and the Senate is favored to go that way also. Be close but it is favored.

There are far more Republican governors.

You pick out some trivial triviality and strain to make a point that fits your perspective. I got news, everybody doesn't take to your views either.

The fact is most christians understand that in the last days there will be a falling away, or a moral decay, so most christians already understand this. There will come a genetation that have zero morals, who are evil lovers. Welcome.

But there will also be a second coming of Christ, he will come with a sword this time.

I could educate you without arguing semantics.

Israel becomes a nation as foretold in Ezekiel 38 2500 years ago. Tjis genetation shalk not pass before the coming of the Lord. The middle east is just what a Isaiah and Zechariah said it would be, Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone.

Christ said there will be a falling away. Here.

There had to be nuclear bombs to brung forth what Armageddon describes. Check.

You keep worrying about trivial trivialities that don't mean anything.

Sandy came because Amercia, in God's eyes deserve their wicked evil ruler. 55 milion abortions God has seen. Just as Israel fell when they turned their backs in God so shall we. I have understood in mt spirit that America has to made less a power so the European Union can be brought to the fore as the dominant power in the world.

Politics is irrelevant to me in all reality once this was revealed to me. We have the RULER we deserve. He us diminishing our military, its leaders, our prestige around the world and Obama has brought forth economic policies that will collapse our economy once the interest rates rise AND CHINA WILL MAKE THEM RISE by dumping their Treasury Bonds.

I understood after the last election, after prayer, what was happening in the world. As John the Baptist made the path straight for Christ, so must someone make the path straight for the Roman Ruler.

So, let me get this right, evangelical Christians have hijacked the Republican Party and we (yes, I am one of "them") are the cause of its failure to win elections? Is that what you are saying? That the Republican Party has no ability to set it's own agenda but must pander to evangelical leadership?

Really? Wow.

Nice to see the degree of hatred (yes, hatred) towards Christians in this thread. Eye opening to say the least.

ETA: I guess the filthy and vile talk I see on here about other races, the poor and women has nothing to do with our poor image. It has to be the Christians.

Maybe next election season I won't have to listen to some R presidential hopeful try to break from the back of the pack by declaring that, all of a sudden, he's an evangelical.
