2010's are obviously better, but then again, Peter Gabriel made some cool songs in the 80's, like this one LINK

Not only that...but the very thing that people demand better and better of...just enslaves us further.

We are dependent on technology...and it can be taken away with a flip of the switch. I am of the belief that every industry is part of a well calculated plan..they get everyone to buy in, all the while..the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.

Some poor bastard assembling logic boards in china for some bastard stuck in a secret installation deep down in a mountain.

Let the private sector do the grunt work

The 80's by a mile... I went through my 20's in the 80's and it a great great decade. Sports were better the music was awesome[so much variety] The movies were great also so many classics its hard to count them all.

I'm biased because I grew up in 80s so yeah it seems better. Cars of the 80s absolutely sucked though.

There were cell phones in the 1980s. The difference is that only people who could afford them and truly needed them had them.

The music in the 1980s absolutely sucked compared to the music of the 1960s and 1970s. I was in my 20s during the 1980s so I experienced more of it than any of you who were born in that decade.

I can live with this statement.

At least you could actually work on them yourself back then. Now, not so much.

Did you live through the decade??? If so, somebody must have taking your wife away or something to make you bitter.

I'll agree with you here with perhaps one exception...

The 80s were the best of both worlds. Back then an 8-bit video game blew minds. Now we can do virtually anything and it's no big deal, it's just expected. There's no fun in that.

Plus back then people weren't addicted to technology they way they are now. Kids still played outside and weren't instagramming at 9 years old and my grandparents didn't know what Facebook was.

I guess this was a post made in general b/c I wasn't born in the 80's. The comparison wasn't the 80's vs the 70's or 60's either. But I can go there too.

That's just not true. Amazing tech still comes out every year. Check out UHD TVs for starters.
