Not bad and by then GM had the 3.8 kinda figured out.

Nobody would say this is a hot car today, though:

Engine:V6Transmission:4-speed Automatic
Horsepower @ RPM:245
Torque @ RPM:355
Displacement:3.8 L
0-60 time:4.8 sec.
Quarter Mile time:14.23 sec.

All of think this tech is so awesome...in about 10-20 years the human race is likely to split. Genetically superior beings that can afford to be genetically superior and those that can't afford it and left to wallow in misery.

The future looks quite scary to me

Being that I was born in 93, i likely have no business in this thread. But i will say this

music in the 80s were great. I would agree better than now

Fashion in the 80s just plain turrible

Movies were great, but i could not say better than now. The technology is so much better that special effects are on a completely different level

Yes, the comment was in general and was not aimed directly at you.

Today is just so much better technology-wise. The feel good music of the 80s was superior, though.

The 80s absolutely destroy the 90s in every way possible.

I'm glad you mention it. Kids nowadays think of their mom's dorky minivan when they think of a van. But back then, starting in the 70's and going into the 80's really until Chrysler fricked it all up, a van served a far different niche...

At least you could actually work on them yourself back then. Now, not so much.

This is true. I will say this about cars in the eighties. Toyota or Honda was the way to go. I have an '89 prelude that still runs like a top.

That's just not true. Amazing tech still comes out every year. Check out UHD TVs for starters.

It's amazing but it's not really exciting, like I said it's just expected.

Don't know why...but no one has mentioned Reagan. Arguably the best president of our lifetime thus far

The 80s were certainly a better time to be a kid.

You could roll out of bed, go meet your friends and your parents didn't worry about you until the street lights came on. They didn't have to.

The toys were way cooler, so much so that all the popular toys are based on 80s toy lines in some way.

We also had Saturday morning cartoons, that alone should count for something.

I don't agree with that. Maybe you just have an entitled mentality?

Then you're just being intentionally obtuse.
