Which 80s teen comedy captures the decade the best?

Fast Times?
Breakfast Club?
Ferris?
Another?
I watched Fast Times last night for the first time in 5 years. I instantly felt like I was 9 in 1985, again! It gets my vote.

Breakfast Club. It had all the themes Ferris Bueller had and more.

I just watched breakfast club last night again, such an awesome movie
I really like ferris bueller a lot, especially when you view it as Cameron's day off

Better Off Dead does a better job than The Breakfast Club. TBC is just a Saturday at school in detention. Doesn't really capture the decade at all. It's the best movie listed, but not for capturing the decade.

I was coming in to post as an equal to Breakfast Club.
Also, Say Anything.

I like the way 16 Candles and BC showed the different highschool factions. Fast Times although excellent I did not identify with the characters as much, same with Ferris. I guess the one that was closest to my "80's experiences" was 16 Candles.

It's not my favorite...but as for capturing the decade the best...the clothes, the attitude, the pop-culture...
It's Weird Science.
(Fast Times was too early - it's almost a little late 70's vibe to it)

16 Candles is my favorite.

Tossup between Weird Science and 16 Candles. Also a shout out to Last American Virgin.
I agree with the others about Fast Times. It is more of a transitional movie between 70's & 80s. It has a little bit of both.

Breakfast Club and Can't Buy Me Love.

I think Weird Science beats 16 Candles because it had the computer aspect.
Early promise of computers and hacking.
Everyone had totally 80's hair in this movie.
The over-the-top 80's clothes/hair/attitude by Downey Jr., etc... LINK
The cars, the music...it's like an Ad for the 80's - from the viewpoint of a teenager growing up in it.

Great 80's movie...
And Bret Easton Ellis captures that decade about as good as anyone.
But teen comedy?
