Not judging. I just have a different idea of fun now than I did then. Now fun is sitting out at the lake camp with a cooler full of beer and a fishing pole.
My neighbor tried to get me to go this morning. I declined as I'd rather brew beer, smoke some chilies and chicken, and kick back a few on my back patio. RDR puts a hurtin' on my body. Amount of fun had does not justify the pain tomorrow and Monday. That said, I've had some good times at RDR in the past.

Compared to a typical night in the quarter or something like Mardi gras, it's def not trashy. Mostly local people out having a good time. Bubba and his friends from Sorrento aren't coming down for this kind of event sporting their wife beaters

Nothing classier than dressing up and crashing a charity party without paying. RDR is the epitome of douche.
As soon as you create a decent event in this town a bunch of worthless dicks come crashing in and ruin it for everyone who actually pays for it.
About 6,000 people paid last year out of probably 40,000 who ran around drunk in a dress. Way to keep it classy New Orleans.
ETA here is a LIST of charities you shafted when you "just showed up in a red dress and got hammered".

As a CBD resident who has already witnessed drunk douches too inebriated to walk half a block to Rouse's to urinate and instead let it out on a building before noon, I'm going to say it is just as trashy.

You sound depressed!
I guess you could call it that. It's just that people like me and TigerStripes have figured out that trying to enjoy stuff is immature and a waste of time. Once you've grown up you realize that true fun comes from not having fun and looking down on those that do.

The average age of RDR is probably 35. Bunch of miserable douches in this thread.
I will say this: every dude on steroids within 90 miles of here is on Bourbon St right now. So I get the hate.

The tutus are bountiful on instagram.
Also, the gays seem to be really into this year.
Finally, there's quite a few hot chicks posting their boobies and dresses on instagram as well.
