Am I the only one that liked Amazing Spiderman 2 better than CapA 2?

Watched these over the last 2 days.
Both were pretty good. Ill say that i think Spiderman is being done much better this time around. The character needs to be a funny, witty teen. Movie was fun, and entertaining, and unbelievable (in the right way).
Cap was good too. Although growing up, and even now, CA's powers are always vague and undefined to me. Is he very athletic, really strong or superhero strong, he can survive falling out of skyscrapers? Im never sure. This also didnt feel like a comic book movie. No main villain. No real superhumans. More like a Shield movie with Captain America. But, TWS was a badass character that we will get more of which is cool. ScarJo is a smoke show. And Fury is done well(His Tahoe scene, along with CA in the elevator were my 2 favorite scenes). Am i correct in the assumption that they are setting up CA as the leader going forward ("i guess youre giving the orders now").
In the end, maybe i just like the character of Spidey more than Cap.

I've only seen the first of each series, and I can't decide what I hate worse...probably captain America because all the shite I wanted to see was in a 2 minute montage.

I haven't seen either yet, but I was pretty disappointed in both of the first movies.
I've heard great things about Cap2, but not much about tAS2. How does tAS2 compare to the first one (because I thought the first one was fairly bad)?

actually, I take that back
I walked out of spiderman, and I stayed for the rest of captain America...spiderman was worse
as for the sequels, I hear the 2nd captain America is really good, but not from anyone with an objective opinion or whose taste in movies is similar to mine.

Yes, probably.
That said, I've enjoyed both new Spider-Man movies, though Electro and Green Goblin were pretty terrible in the new one.
What's made the new movies for me has been the casting of Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. They've carried the movies...so I am a bit worried about the next movie.

The first Captain America was my least favorite MCU flick by a country mile. Of all the movies it felt the most like it was nothing more than an extended trailer for The Avengers. I was also annoyed at the action montage of them wrecking Red Skull's bases.. I would have rather just had a single extended battle scene.
That said, CA2 fricking rocked. It totally made up for CA1 and is easily a top 3 Marvel flick.
Edit - top 3 MCU. It'd be top 5 tier if I ranked all Marvel movies and it's location would prob be due to my mood that day. FYI in no order I have Iron Man, Avengers, Spiderman 2, and Days of Future Past as the others in that tier.

Prepare thy anus for what you are about to receive from the M/TV Board.
As to your question, no. TASM2 was one of my favorite superhero movies period, and I quite frankly don't care if people disagree with me. Sometimes you are just in the perfect mood at the perfect time for certain movies. I think ASM2 was one of those freak coincidences for me.
Top 3
TDK

ASM2

The character of spiderman in AS2 is great. Best Spiderman character ive seen on the screen. They nailed his goofy side. But thanks to marvel and sony and blah blah all dividing up the superheros and forcing writers to rewrite things certain parts of the movie bothered the shite out of me. Overall i liked the movie alot though. It had some scenes that blew me away and the CGI was as close to perfect as ive ever seen. I'm so jacked up that they put super powers in the spiderman movie universe unlike the Toby McGuire shitshows.
CA2 was pretty cool and winter soldier was a great movie, but all the how can i trust an operation with side operations we need to trust each other dont trust anyone blah blah story line got on my nerves.

it was an actual movie, not just a superhero flick.

Saw them both in the last couple of weeks CapA2 is better though I did like Spiderman 2 though it's hard for me to dislike any Spidey flick since I loved the comics when I was young.

CA2 is my favorite movie of the year. While ASM2 is prolly the worst one I've seen this year.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you find CA2? I've been anxious to see it and missed it in theaters and waiting for it to come out on video.

I watched it on Popcorn Time the other night. Perfect blu ray quality too

Pretty sure the answer to your question is yes.
Freauzen will be here shortly to explain the error of your ways.

I loved CA2, but I also enjoyed the new spidey film. I didn't hate it like some many other posters on here. FWIW I preferred ASM to the first CA film, which was complete garbage.
