Coworker of mine mentioned to me that highland road got its name for being a natural levee running through Baton Rouge. And we have the Istroma bluff which makes LSU sits on a plateau. I had never known this.

What you got?

Huey P. Bridge was built low to keep large ships from going past Baton Rouge thereby forcing it to be a major hub.

There's a pretty active fault line that runs near College Dr. Because our soil so moist, you can't feel anything when it moves.

Both Seigen Lane and Highland Road owe their names to their German connection.

The highland road area was known as the German highlands and Seigen (pronounced zee-gen) means victory in German.

Yep to highland rd but rather than natural levee I would say it was the flood plain prior to man made levees.

The hill on college by fairway view is a fault line.
