If Obama gives executive amnesty to 5 million illegals, do you want impeachment?

Would you want your congressman and senator to support Obama's impeachment if he ends up doing this?

Something needs to be done.
executive overreach is OOC.

I just don't even understand how that could possibly fall within the President's authority.
Is there any precedent for this? Or is Obama just making it up as he goes?

Can you give amnesty to people without naming names?
In other words can you just pardon everyone who entered the country before a certain date without knowing who they are?

I would like to think some military officers would remember that part of their oaths about domestic enemies and take care of the matter.

Les Miles has lost control of this administration.

The Executive branch of the govt was not designed to have that power. It's authoritarian.

Obama can't be stopped.
He could give amnesty to 5 million illegals and actually gain from it.
If he did it and Congress moved to impeach, the Republicans would sadly get destroyed for attempting to do so.
We live in bizarro world.

No. I want Congress to zip the purse and NULLIFY Obama's criminal Constitutional nullification. Scare the bejesus out of the masses with fear of rampant disease, overloading of available health and education LIMITED resources and the influx of the heathen/murderous gang culture that they will bring with them. I'm talking take the gloves off/fire with fire scaremongering flaming. Give Obama as he gives; and it'll all backfire just like Bergdahl's parents in that stupid WH photo op/strategy.
If Congress did this, they wouldn't have to impeach Obama...the people's overwhelming REJECTION of the man and his leadership would utterly destroy him. He'd get pissed, and leave on his own.
Biden, would go along with anything - for the duration - to sit behind that desk. He'd be on the Right like gravy on rice.

No, I want to deport him to Kenya.

Impeached. Removed from office. Whatever.

Do you have a link to him proposing this?

Assuming amnesty = citizenship I would want my congressman to file a lawsuit against the action instead of impeachment. A successful lawsuit should rescind amnesty and put those people in back of the line for citizenship. I don't care if they are receiving benefits while in line, that's fine. I just don't want them eligible to vote before assimilation.

It's an interesting question. Technically, though the president can't unilaterally grant them citizenship, granting a general amnesty could fall under Article II powers to grant reprieves and pardons for crimes against the United States--in this case illegal entry and/or evasion of authorities, taxes, etc (or whatever the applicable statutes are). I don't think there's a precedent on this scale. I'd imagine the amnesty granted following the Civil War would be the largest in US History, but I haven't verified that. On the other hand, there is an argument to be made that he failed to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed" on a fairly grand scale. Other presidents have done this to one degree or another, but this may constitute a substantial departure.
Now, I haven't seen any reliable indication that this is his plan (a formal proclomation of amnesty) and think it would be politically toxic.

Yes, but only after the mid-terms
