Since my plan is starting to gain some traction. I will post here the official rules and scoring system. I will keep this updated if any good ideas come along.

2014-2015 OB Waterfowl Shoot-Out Rule Proposal

Teams must consist of 4 members-- one from each zone (NWLA,NELA,SWLA,SELA)

The zones are determined by drawing a cross through the middle of Alexandria... (Center Point should be around where I-49 meets the Pineville Expressway)

To determine your zone pick the area of the state you hunt the most or plan to hunt the most.

A draft will commence when enough people have posted their zones.

Remember only one member from each zone is allowed on a team.

This will allow some strategy to take place, rather than having a stacked team of a bunch of people hunting the same area.

Posting rules will be as it was two years ago
Your Single Man limit will be posted with all waterfowl visible
Your screen name and date must be written on something in the picture

UPDATES
-- Members living outside the state of Louisiana will be allowed to compete as the 5th member on teams... These Wildcards be will helpful in evening teams out and it also allows everyone to participate.

SCORING SYSTEM

-Scoring System:
specks = 3
snows = 2 points
Canadians = 2 points
mallards & Pintail = 4 points
Woodies = 3 points
Widgeon, Gadwall, Teal, CANS = 2 pt
All others - 1 pt (including spoonies, blackjacks, scaup, redheads, etc.

UPDATES

--Banded Geese and Ducks will be awarded an additional 10pts on top of whatever the goose or duck was worth.

I feel this is a fair scoring system with the fact the teams will be divided among the zones... example.. if NELA is stacked with mallards only one guy can pound them out... Meanwhile he will be counting on his three other teammates to destroy some greys, woodies, teal and what not..

SWLA

Can I propose gadwall and woodies 3 pts? Hardly all we saw here last year was greys and teal.

So teams are based on where the shooter is FROM, not where the birds are taken, right?

Eta: reread the rules. Am I being discriminated against because I hunt in Arkansas? If so, that's racist.

Im out because I don't even hunt in LA (although I am waiting on calls back on the two trips I got at the EJW auction)

Also lets not shoot any Canadians. Canada geese are one thing but the Canadian nurses around here are pretty hot.

Been looking around and found the the thread for the last one of these. That one team must have been in a honey hole.

SELA

I actually have 2 spots though. 1 in SELA and the other in NELA. Hunt them equally. I guess put me in the coordinate that has the least amount between the 2.
