Also believe it or not, go get a DOT license and drive for someone in O&G. Meet people, learn the company and look for a transfer or training opportunity inside the company. This works, believe it or not. Especially if you can drive hazmat. Those guys are proven, trainable and always looking to move around in the company

Have to find your local power company or power producer in your area and start applying. They usually have a hiring process of a few test to see where you're at mechanical wise.

Idk who this chair guy but he seems desperate... I don't work offshore ( chem plant operator) but I know my company (Axiall) is looking to hire operators at our site ( Plaquemine).
