He's the biggest reason I'm a Liverpool fan today. I own 1 jersey, a home Carlsberg #8.
That said, it's time. Think of it as a stud being put out to pasture. He'll go to LA and play out the rest of his days in sunshine and finery.
Cheers to you Captain.

He's the reason why I love and follow the club. I play my game based on the way he's always played and I will for sure miss seeing him in red but it's been a great ride. Wish we could have gotten him a title last year but Istanbul still gives me chills everytime I watch it. All this being said

We were garbage for most of the day, but horrendous refereeing on their last two goals...
End of an era... We'll miss you Stevie!
Should be the end of another era as well, Klopp or not...

That was a classic BR match sadly.
Dominated possession. Little to show for it. A few costly mistakes leading to goals.

Yeah if they don't sack BR now, I'll be disappointed, this season has been a clusterfrick of epic proportions

Guys...I think all I can say about the game today is that Palace outplayed us. Better and more chances. The ref screwed us to be sure, but we deserved to lose it. I can go on and on (and we likely will another day) about how bad that fact is and how common it happens against poor teams, especially this year.
Stevie had a couple of chances, but couldn't get enough pace on either really. And one was way off target.
Really sad to see him go - as for several of you others, he is THE reason I became a Liverpool fan. The magic he brought to so many moments is indescribable. It will be very strange watching them next season without him.

Sad to see Gerrard leave, although as others have said, it is probably time. I've only been following the team for a year, so I don't have as strong an emotional connection to him as a lot of you do, but I'm extremely glad that I was able to make it to Charlotte last summer and see him play live in a Liverpool jersey. Watching him lead the entire team around the field after the match applauding the fans while everyone sang YNWA is what really cemented my love for the club.
That said, we haven't seen the last of him. He'll be back in a few years as manager. Hopefully then he can get the league title that always escaped him as a player.

Watched the match with my daughter, really enjoyed the festivities surrounding Gerrard's last appearance at Anfield

Soooooooo Rodgers can go
This seems to be the general consensus now... It's time, this season has been a mess outside of those two months to start 2015.

To be fair, I think most are on the Rodgers out if there is a great replacement. For Klopp - sure.
For Redknapp or some other recycled has been, hell no. I think Rodgers has shown that he's capable of being a really good manager. I think we have seen this year that there are still a lot of flaws, and we can't spend the next few years waiting around for him to stop looking at his portrait and start growing from his mistakes. He makes way too many of them time and time again. Balo playing as a lone striker this year, without much of a look at him in a two striker system, is baffling. The transfer committee needs a real close look and critical eye as we can't keep wasting money for guys that don't fit our model.
I fear Klopp will head somewhere like Arsenal though where he can more easily recruit players for his system and still continue to pretend that he's not one of the big boys since he's got no oil money.

We're totally shite.
Something has got to give. Another dog shite display from Sterling too.
Rodgers completely killing Can's confidence playing him at fullback too.
