So if you have Direct TV, go complain about not having the SEC Network NOW!

There was a thread about this a week or so ago. I decided to call them up and complain about that. They upgraded all my receivers with the genie, gave me NFL sunday ticket for 1 year, knocked off 25 bucks from my bill.
Thanks to whoever mentioned that.

When is your contract up. If people have a year or so left, i doubt they will give up much.
eta: mine is up in 2 months, so i plan to capitalize.

What group did you speak to? Promotion people? or did you say you are considering switching providers?

So when they get sec network next month they are taking all that away.

..I know that the SEC Network has asked us (DirecTV customers) to tell them that we want their network.
As a very satisfied DirecTV customer I want to know if there is a forum where I can ask the SEC Network to reach an agreement with them? Negotiating is a two way street! !

I'm still within my first year and under contract. Any chance they still work with me on that?

With the annual contracts and constant issues over what content they'll have, I just don't understand why anyone uses them. Sure, they'll save you a buck, but they seem like such a PITA to deal with.

I think you're referring to mine which was two days ago.
I'm starting to wonder though when DirecTV picks up SEC Network, do I have any leverage to get it tacked onto my package without a price increase.

I just called and the lady said she was 90 % sure they will have SEC network by August 4
I will keep calling until I can get someone to give me NFL Sunday ticket for free, I have not payed for that in 4 years

i call dtv every year and do this. EVERY YEAR. I have never paid for sunday ticket. I did the usual last week and told them i was swapping to dish. I got the following.
My Bill is now $35 a month
2 extra free hd boxes
sunday ticket free
espn gameplan free
only reason i called was to get sunday ticket and they offered the rest. Every year they accomodate.

Yea I did it last week. Full genie upgrade, Sunday ticket max for free, free movie channels for 3 months, $35 extra off monthly bill for 12 months and they will be announcing sec network before it goes live

I followed instructions on this thread and got to retention.
They gave me 1/2 off sports and Cinemax and a $25 retention credit.
No Sunday ticket. And I asked for it.
