I could not disagree with this more. It will be decided by what LSU does on first down. If we're consistently facing 2nd and 4,5, or 6, it will be a good night; second and 8, not so much.

LSU was blowing that team out until crowton called off the dogs and the defense started shitting the bed

LSU was up 30-10 before UNC came back

But the game is 60 minutes and we had to withstand a couple of catchable touchdown passes by UNC at the end to barely hang on. To me that's shakey however one chooses to rationalize it.

Other than that one we've acquitted ourselves well in these games. I see no reason why we should not here.

I remember the Ohio State championship game. It was the same thing. BLAH BLAH Big Ten power House BLAH BLAH don't sleep on this team BLAH BLAH. We are going to dominate this game. It may not be a blow out on the score board, but I do not see us being in any real trouble. Yes their offensive line is powerful against Mich, Mich st./ Northwest, They have not seen speed like this. I wonder if Herbstreit will come out running his mouth about being tired of hearing about the speed of the SEC like he has in the past.

If we get decent QB play, we'll win by 20+. If not, it's close.

LSU doesn't have an experienced QB/receiving corp. It's going to be a long tough game. I'd love to think otherwise but all Wisconsin has to do is load the box. This will be a Les Miles classic 3 yards and a cloud of dust game.

Agreed. Too bad it's going to be in the AC. The heat and humidity of Houston in August would have been a huge advantage... not to mention mosquitoes that could have sucked the W's off those helmuts.

See the difference was we had a championship caliber team in 2007. In 2014 we have a new QB, new WRs, and a new RB. Huge difference.

TCU, Oregon, Stanford -- all really good teams the Badgers played very close.

They have, actually. And Melvin Gordon is faster than any RB we have.

Yes, and that same coaching staff will take an absolute arse raping on here if things don't play out the way we think they should.

We've got no QB and no proven WRs. Wisc will be ranked higher than us. If you think this is going to be easy, you're worng. We're going to see a lot f 40% completion days this year. The D will have to be stout to win more than 8 games.

Wisconsin will stack the line and dare us to pass.

I don't like it.

We should line up in the shotgun on the first play.

and run it up the middle

First, why is there an LSU Tiger living in Wisconsin? Don't tell me you moved up to this crappy cold weather we get for so many months a year.

Now to the game......

Wisconsin doesn't know who their starting QB will be, but if it is Stave he will make some exellent throws and then some really bad throws. If you can generate a pass rush you will frick with his mind and he will suck. If they go with the other guy at QB just play man to man on the outside and stuff the run by playing 8 in the box. The other QB is a runner but can't throw well.

Stopping their run game will be key. If LSU can contain it the game will be a blowout as long as LSU doesn't turn he ball over.

Wiscosnin does have experience coming back on the OL, so it is about containing their run game.

The WR's suck and there is little experience.

The defensive backs have experience back, but if you guys have better athletes you should be able to make some yards in the passing game. It just depends on how your QB play goes.

You should be able to run the ball down their throat since they replace so many in the front 7 and no longer having Borland will show big time.

This Wiscosnin team only returns 9 starters and there are questions all over the place. The only reason why they get this stupid pre-season love is due to a soft schedule.

Weren't we supposed to blowout Arky and Iowa last year? Wisky is way better than both of those teams. I would say don't get your hopes too high.

Wisky is not better than IOWA you nimrod. Iowa had the best LB corps in the nation and a defense ranked in the top 10. Wisky doesn't even have a starter coming back outside of the secondary on defense. I always chalk up the Arky and Ole Miss games to rivalry. I can't explain them. I mean we did run all over Arky at 6.26 ypc on 38 carries, but the defense also let Allen have one of his best games of the year.

Wisconsin better than Iowa and we didn't blow them out. Just don't think we blow them out. However we seem to practice better and play better the first game of the year against a tough opponent ad opposed to a first game push over.
