I think I'd rather be jobless in Florida than $60k in Oregon

Not worth it for only 10k more, but using your degree and making a major life change would be the reason to do it.

Title is Data Analyst

Base is 45, and the bonus range on Glassdoor is from 15-80k, that's why I said the floor is probably 60

What do you have to lose? You don't have shite. Spend 6 months, if you hate it, move back.

If you don't go you're a TIGRLEE alter.

don't base that bonus too much on your decision.
that seems high to be for a 45K salary to get 15K bonus semi annually.

that's 30000 yearly in bonus on a 45000 salary. That seems especially high for what i'm assuming is an entry level job. A 65% bonus structure seems too good to be true.

Just beware making a move and taking a discretionary bonus amount into consideration for the decision

Sorry, you misunderstood. The 15k bonus is the annual figure that is on Glassdoor, so 7500 semiannually.

Do it.....experience in finance using your degree is extremely important toward your longterm goals.

Finance degree here....tried for a couple years to get in....had to stay sales side. It has always pissed me off how hard it is to get anything entry level in legitimately financial(ie junior analyst)

i'd be asking myself if the job's so great why can't they recruit people closer to Oregon. Guessing they cut the pay for the position and doubled up the workload - like everywhere else. Moving expenses are high too.

I lived in Portland and hated it. It literally is overcast and rainy 10 months out of the year. I would expect with a little patience, you can find a job in your field closer to home that wouldn't require moving across the country. I assume you'd be living near the Vancouver area if you'll be in WA and working in Portland.

Do it! You'll never regret moving to a city where you don't know anyone, especially with a job waiting for you there. I'd take it in a heartbeat if it were me, the Northwest is amazing.

Do it. The people and culture will be sort of weird, but beer and outdoor scenes are great. It's a really interesting part of the country. Just make sure you take advantage of everything to do while you're out there.
