we were 4th in sacks last year. That's all i heard this offseason when we talked about adding another pass rusher in the draft

They really got it wrong on Ricky when they projected High Green

Would like to see what a Brees and Joe Horn connection would look like

quote:a great, HOF level player, but not really a huge need right now. Same thing regarding Pat Swilling; somebody laughed about his even being mentioned, but he did get 18 sacks one season. If you could add a guy who did that last season, most people would be ecstatic.
Rickey Jackson
Joe Horn in his prime would be huge in our offense. He'd give us the "Devery Henderson deep threat" WR that we are missing, in additon to the "Lance Moore catch everything" guy. Problem is he might be unhappy that the ball gets spread around too much in this scheme, but as a talent he would be awesome.
Dalton Hilliard in his prime would be great, too. He'd be better than Pierre Thomas (at his prime), and also Ingram... he'd be a perfect fit. An inside runner who'd get 1000 yds, and still be a nightmare on screens. Might lead the NFL in total yards. RB by committee has worked decently, but it'd be great to have every option open on every snap.
Sam Mills or Vaughn Johnson at ILB would be a huge upgrade over what we have.
Mel Gray or Beerman returning kicks... is Cooks gonna be that guy? Might be redundant.
Morten Andersen... I'd take him. Kicker might not be the sexy pick, but Morten might be the single best former Saint, by position, that ever played. At his prime, he might be the best kicker ever.

Since everyone has said what I probably would have picked (Jackson definitely), I'll go with Tyrone Hughes. Return game IS BACK.
