All depends on how and why it ended. If the guy was cheating or something and he left her, then it's not a big deal. If the guy is heartbroken or really down about it, then it is really fricked up

Yeah, I bet your tune really changes once this happens to you. Would you be comfortable for the rest of your life hanging out with your wife and best friend who are currently fricking? I'd bet not.

lol are you kidding? If the guy who just got a divorce is in a bad place mentally (pretty likely), this is probably the absolute worst thing a friend can do in a time where he should show support. Instead he's allowed himself to become a tool for some revenge from the ex-wife and has accomplished nothing but to hurt his friend more.
I don't have a problem with the two adults screwing, but this bro is not a real friend to the guy who just got a divorce.

This. I have a hot ex who tried to pull the moves on a couple of my friends. Both resisted (something I could never do, even after it was over). I don't know how. But I respect the hell out of both of them for it.

He should no longer be your buddy.

Karma is a true bitch and is a law of the universe. Your buddy has some coming to him so I would distance myself. People like that can never fully be trusted.

First who said I'd get married? 2nd, if she left I'd shake his hand and buy him a keg. She's his problem now. Plenty of beautiful women out there. There's zero reason to be angry long term. People pick mates based on wants instead of needs. IMO the reason why 60%+ of divorces are started by women. The kids are the true victims though. Parents are to blame for that though.

It's more of a respect thing. Marriages don't just end and the feelings die when the ink dries. People need time to heal. A good friend would help in that healing, not bury his pecker in his friends wife.
How do you know the marriage and feelings haven't been dead for years and the paperwork was just a mere formality? She's not his wife. They're exes. As in not married.
This "bro code" does seem a little juvenile and high schoolish.
I think a lot of these guys preaching this "bro code" nonsense are just trying to scare suitors away from their exes because they're afraid the next guy is going to do a better job of curling her toes than they did.

Best case scenario the guy is an insecure bottom feeder. The woman isn't emotionally stable right now and he looked to benefit from this. Even if she wanted the divorce her mind isn't clear in this scenario.
Of course they could just both be selfish, immature pricks too.

It's a shame having morals is starting to get blended with some lame shite like the phrase "bro code."

Yeah but if you opt-out of your contract there's still waiting period before other teams can contact you.
