55% D or F, but the class is just "unprepared". right. Did you listen to the end about the curve?

Yeah, "these are not trick questions". Q: Do sales decline in this phase? A: Well, sales do decline in this phase, but they don't *only* decline, so the answer is no.

hahaha - and his answer "marketing is not an exact science"
I also enjoyed his comment of "this is not me vs. you", could this guy be any more tone deaf??? the entire class hates him

For Tasha, here's the strategy I used on the first 3 exams that worked well:
If it's T/F: If you think the answer is True, re-read the question several times to see if you can find any reason to say false. If you can find any reason at all, no matter how obscure, the answer will be false.
For the multiple choice: If you think the answer is "A" for example, go through the other answers to see if you can say exactly why the other answers are not correct. If you cannot clearly eliminate all of the other answers, flag it and come back. At the end I usually have 6-7 answers flagged. I probably spend 15 minutes trying to figure out which of the two possible answers he wants to see for those last questions. Up until last week, I've chosen well on those. :)

ECON 705 - Shaughnessey
MADM 760 - Meeks (requires teamwork but totally worth it)
MKT 701 - Darrat

@AZBlue--this is exactly what you should be doing.

No brainers:
ECON 705 - Shaughnessey
MADM 760 - Meeks
No easy answer:
MKT 701 - I had James and learned a lot. The project was a hot mess, but the content of the course was actually excellent. Not sure if I'd recommend her, but there are many worse professors in the program.

Has anyone in MKT with khan taken the activity/quiz? I've been reading the notes from the previous modules & trying 2 take notes on the 2 little paragraphs he supplied us with. Just wanted 2 see if this is a good direction? This class is not good for my anxiety ??

@shaylove -- I took the quiz, and I can say that it's really no different than the other tests. I don't think I can offer any specific advice without violating the honor code. As he mentioned in the video earlier in the week, take your time and don't rush through it.

which Darrat did you take? I believe there are 2 professors with that last name. Thx!

@shaylove. I took it today, pretty difficult. I thought it was more vague than his normal tests....I was unsure on probably 70% of my answers. Let me know what you thought

Hey there, since I used this forum so much to find and enroll at LSUS, I feel inclined to share- I am in Week 5 of my first semester, for which I doubled up ISDS 705 (Mehdi Darban) with MADM 701 (Ken Kungu). It's going really well. I highly recommend both professors.
Darban's ISDS 705 is probably a 4 hr/wk investment with a discussion and quiz due each week. Not sure why there aren't more reviews on Darban's ISDS 705 class, but I've actually enjoyed it. He has ppts that outline each chapter, which you can totally ace the exams with. There is a group project but so far, my group's been excellent. Textbook is from 2015, so not too outdated and includes cool concepts from Zara, Netflix, and relevant tech companies.
Kungu's MADM 701 is about the same time commitment with a discussion and exam weekly, and then a biweekly "module" (paper). Overall, very do-able. I highly recommend both professors!

I thought it was very difficult and vague. I bombed the activity quiz even after I studied hard.

@mtntreks Thanks for the info.
