Possibly, although a complaint to the LSU Board of Supervisors (which oversees the entire Louisiana State University System) could take longer than the time remaining in the course. The sad thing is that if they were firing Ed Ogeron, they would meet within the week to address it.

I hear ya. Maybe a better way to put it is that despite how screwed up the entire concept of a college education is in the US, LSUS needs all of the help it can get. They have a duty to raise the public perception of the program and maintain the value of the degree. We all get that this isn't Harvard or Stanford, however, circus acts like this aren't helping the cause.

Actually, the majority of those 34 replies are people helping the few who were completely lost.

Now if McLaughlin will allow us to post our mini discussion, things will be right with the world again. The rubric is very strict and she tells everyone their initial post must be by Tuesday, its Monday night and she has yet to open up the forum to allow posting.
It must be short timers syndrome because I haven't little patience for this crap at 3.5 weeks from the finish line.
It the rate of these epic f ups and with my luck their accreditation will be pulled in week 7 of AP2.

am i the only one in harrison madm 760??
so far so good.
good work pace with 2 "assignments" due weekly. either a section of the company profile or a discussion or a 500 word assignment.
each week ends with a 20 m/c exam that is supposed to be open book, but i haven't got the proctor to allow it.
my TA has been extremely responsive and great with feedback on assignments.
one gripe is that i have emailed harrison directly twice and have yet to hear back.
so far so good.

and i am completely embarrassed to say this, but have nobody else to tell that would really care or know what i was talking about.
i bombed the lin ISDS 705 test last week and got a 70. i am in disbelief. despite being very computer savvy i botched it all up. there were four questions converting the various bytes measurements and somehow i confused them all. probably got them all wrong.
oh well. 2 more to bring it up.
and i am completely embarrassed to say this, but have nobody else to tell that would really care or know what i was talking about.
i bombed the lin ISDS 705 test last week and got a 70. i am in disbelief. despite being very computer savvy i botched it all up. there were four questions converting the various bytes measurements and somehow i confused them all. probably got them all wrong.

also want to add this tip. i'm sure people know this.
i spend a lot of time traveling during the week for work. do a lot of driving. sometimes 4-5 hours in the day. you can get siri to read pdf's on your iPhone.
I've used the hell out of this feature. i still go back and skimp the text book as the reader sometimes botches it up.

Yup, I use this very regularly.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Speech > Turn on "Speak Screen".
Open a PDF and swipe down with two fingers from exactly the top middle of the screen about a quarter way down to open the speech play controls and start reading. This is a little tricky to get the hang of, especially on iPhone X. It works amazingly well in the Kindle app (see Meeks' MADM 760 Playing to Win), as it even turns pages for you.
Alternatively, I use an iOS app called GoodReader. Basically turns your iPhone/iPad into a Kindle for reading PDFs, and also lets you highlight text while reading that you can then email yourself a summary of later. Save PDFs from Moodle to Dropbox and then download them with GoodReader. I use it for reading all of our electronic textbooks.
In GoodReader, select text to read, hold the selection for the pop-up menu, and select "Speak," or hold down a blank area of a page and select Speak to read the entire document out loud.
In the summer, another trick I used was emailing textbook PDFs to my Kindle Paperwhite e-reader device. Rotate the screen orientation to landscape for easier reading. Then relax by the pool while enjoying riveting titles like "Principles of Managerial Accounting,"

That can happen in that class if you're not careful. As it's been mentioned before, the test questions in that class are all based on trivia, acronyms, and definitions of key terms. Not to mention that you have to do it with a hostile live proctor staring at you the entire time via webcam. All definitions, lists, dates, and anything you may have trouble remembering should be put on that one-page note sheet.
The good news is now you've taken one of his tests, so you know what to expect to get your grade back up!

Email and call the LSUS MBA department to complain if you don't like the change. I can't stress this enough.
The MBA office received emails and phone calls from "the majority" of course participants complaining, many very passionately. Based on what we're seeing in Moodle, it's hard to believe 70+ people contacted them to complain, yet here we are.

Well, that's that. Forum post removed, pleasant emails about the ISDS 710 syllabus and catalog. $1200 well spent.
My final word on the whole ISDS 710 situation: If the R-based content didn't meet the course catalog description, and therefore meet the requirements to award an MBA, it shouldn't have been changed from the previous content. It shouldn't have been approved, either.
Going forward, call the course "Data Driven Marketing" instead of "Data Analytics" to alleviate the confusion.

I received a SIE invitation today! As a summer grad, I appreciate the fact Dr. Williams extended this invitation without me having to ask for it. I'm not sure if it's worth it or not, but it's nice to have the option.

Test #1 for me didnt feel that bad. I didn't see the proctor staring at me. It was really no different than Proctorio aside from the live person doing the setup.
Admittedly I went into this with a negative attitude but I didnt have any issues with ProctorU

It takes a big man to admit something like this, kudos. Now that we're sharing, this reminds me of a time in undergrad where I took one of the "easy A" classes, the history of rock and roll, and yes landed a B. So you see, you're not the only one who's botched what should have been an easy A.
I would like to say, I am very thankful I took Lin's 705 before it became a "real" class. This whole note sheet printed with 8pt helvetica narrow thing is just too much...
