You are right LSU, I was mixing up what I had read from the syllabus from ISDS 705 which states "There are
three tests worth 100 points each. These will be based on all materials covered in class up to the time of the test"

On that note, when you make a PDF of the chapters covered for ISDS test you may want to include 2,3,4,5 as he may pull questions from these chapters according to the syllabus

Did those of you enrolled in ACCT get the email that was just sent? "This is an announcement for students enrolled in ACCT 701 for the Fall 2017 first term. The bookstore listed a text for ACCT 701 in error. There is NO required text for ACCT 701. The text will be embedded in the moodle course and no additional purchase is necessary. Thank you.

For those of you who have taken it already, was it structured this way?

Jeauz, I got the email. Great news as I'm always happy to save on textbooks.

From what I recall reading in here, both Ambrosio and McGhee used Cengage previosly. So this appears to be another course that may be changing format.

I took it with Ambrosio 3 classes ago and a co-worker of mine took it with McGhee just last term (Summer AP1). Based on the syllabus my co-worker showed me both classes were basically identical and were through CengageBrain. In fact, I gave him my printed version of the book I used since it was the same.

Sounds like they're changing up the course for the next term.

I hope it's not a change for the worse. I've heard good things about ACCT 701 and am hoping they're not going to make it much more challenging.

I took MADM 752 last term. It had been changed and was much more challenging than what people had told me it had been previously.

I'm planning on taking it this evening. I find the math on this material to be easier than the first but the language in more confusing.

I did. Found it easier than the first exam. I managed to get a 90. True/false were a pain, but didn't cost me too much. Know that he may not tell you long or short. He will say "you paid a premium" and then the rest of his question. You will have some like collar, covered, etc. I didn't think this exam was as bad as I was expecting. Black Scholes and put call parity, know those.

Agreed brent, I hope he sticks to more of the TVM stuff because thats really straight forward. I feel like things could get really difficult with the wording of the text and the wording of his questions with the forward, futures, put and options stuff.

Just took the FIN 710 test, made an 82%, I honestly thought I had done a lot better before seeing my score. Be sure to read questions carefully

Just got done with FIN 710 Test 2 and scored an "A". To me the test was equally as hard as Test 1. 2 down and 2 to go!!!

Just finished it also... with an 89. Honestly I thought I had them all right except for 1 maybe 2 TF I wasn't sure about. Must've misread some questions or made careless mistakes. Really frustrating. Gotta get it right for these next 2.

I just took the FIN 710 exam as well. I managed an "A." I was certainly worried going in to it, as the graphical representations and conceptual reasoning for using all the various option combinations continue to elude me. Luckily, he stuck with the homework type problems for the majority of the questions, which weren't too bad if you prepared for them. Here's to one more down, ladies and gents!

*Attempts to insert two happy emojis clanging glasses of beer, but doesn't know how.*

P.S. I have a feeling that we are gonna lose about half the class in the coming week or so. I noticed that many of the discussion posts this week related to Ch. 4 material, mostly concerning how to use a calculator.

Anybody else finding ECON705 to be a slog?

The material is interesting, but this course is taking so much time to work through all the assignments.

I do have an A going, but this is the first course that I feel like I can't have a life and do well.
