WWTOTD 15 year old sister wants to drink for her birthday

So my little sister turned 15 today and has asked me if she can have a few adult beverages tonight at our brother's house. I know I was drinking the summer going into sophomore year and a lot of kids are at that age. I also know she's probably going to be partying/drinking with her friends this summer anyway and since it's her first time I'd rather her be with me so I can supervise and make sure she's OK. She's extremely smart, straight A student and very mature for her age. So what do y'all think, should I be the responsible party pooper and say no or just let her have some fun tonight without leaving the house, no boys, etc...?

Why is she asking you and not your brother?

21 year old drinking age is a shitty arbitrary government rule and is horseshite (especially since you can fight and die for your country at 18). If you believe she is responsible, I think it is 100% appropriate.
ETA: With some supervision, of course.

Sounds like you should let her experiment under your supervision...

make her drink some shitty beer like bud light or something and she probably won't have the desire to drink for awhile

Let her do it, get her really shitfaced, then watch her puke her guts up. She'll either enjoy it, or not.

If it's just a few beers while eating dinner or with a couple of friends then I wouldn't have a problem with it. If you are supplying a party or getting them enough to get absolutely trashed then you are probably opening yourself up to too much liability.

Let her have a few beers/glass or two of wine, but not shitty. People who learn to moderate their drinking are much better off.

In your position, I'd probably run it by one of my parents to see what they think. I wouldn't have a problem with it but it's not really your place to decide that. Of course, this assumes your parents aren't gonna freak for some reason.

My heart says yes, but my state's department of child protective services says no.

That's going to be really weird.

She needs to practice drinking or else she's going to get blackout and get gangbanged in a year

That's a bad thing to get started

So you want to change that and make her a drunk that starts ignoring the important things in life, like school and grades?
Don't be that kind of brother. A real brother would talk her our of it. She is NOT an adult, not even close...why would you contribute to her breaking your parents rules and the law?
