Just be glad it was a vehicle and not a person.

On a scale of 0-10 of good legal advice, this^ is a zero.
Just because nothing may come of it doesn't mean looking into it is a bad idea. I believe learning more about the law regarding a situation, even if it doesn't help you, is solid legal advice

Any higher deductible lowers your carrier's potential exposure. Lower exposure = lower premiums for you.
What does that have to do with OT poor? OT poor people would carry higher deductibles.... Am I wrong? Also, the amount of money you would save going from $500 to $1000 is minimal at best..
Going independent doesn't necessarily mean better either...

The law is being parked less than 18 inches from the curb. Any more than that and it's their fault.

So you just throw it in R and back up without looking? Solid move
You must have missed the part where i said for the last 2 1/2 years there is nothing behind me but a road at which traffic comes left to right or right to left. I back onto the road. it was clear right to left i backed up thinking the road was clear for me to get on the road. There was a car directly behind me in the street. I ran into it what part did you miss?

He meant without looking behind you, that's what you missed.

I never look behind me because all there is till today was a road and woods that occupy the end of the neighbors yard. It was early morning and dark .Why would i check the rear view mirror?is a tree gonna creep into the road or something? . Anyway thanks for listening fellows. hell its my fault i'm paying for it. have a good one!

A person possibly walking behind you? It's common sense to look in your rear view mirror before backing up.

Are you seriously defending not looking where you're backing your vehicle up?

Just leave an empty beer can on his car and go about your day.

Re-read this and tell me how dumb this sounds.
You look behind you because there could be a car (as evidenced by this thread), a child, a dog, or an elephant. Either way, you wouldn't know unless you actually looked.

My car is a manual. My dad left it in gear after taking it for a spin, I turn it on and launched it right into the garbage can. Thank God it's plastic and there were no scratches. Of course my neighbor saw the whole thing.
Also, I've paid out of pocket before. It's like it never happened

Our HOA actually encourages it because they dont want people parking on their lawns
Sounds like you live in a real classy neighborhood there, FLObserver.

Old people...
I saw a $250k BMW Z8 (that's what he paid, no shite) wrecked into a garage door this way. Me and another guy were standing in front of it with the garage door down, we were all inside the garage, and his roommate decided to start it for us. Pinned the other guy into the door...it was pretty epic. I had to do major work on the garage door to even open it.

I guess nobody's as perfect as you then I mean as evidenced here people get in routines. i look both ways and back out in the dark every morning to go to work. I look for headlights in either direction if none i backout because there is woods behind me. Now i have no common since. You must be the perfect guy then! Maybe i can blame the HOA for allowing vechicles in the street at night!

there is a positive side to this tho. you just paid $500 to never have to worry about this again until he moves
