Duck Dog + Yard= Major Problem

I just got my dog back from the trainer after being gone for around 8 months. He stayed in a dog kennel with 20 other dogs the entire time.
When I got him back I decided he was not going be allowed inside ever unless extreme weather imminent. Well now my back porch and yard has now taken a beaten from him. The back porch is constantly covered in dirt, hair, and mud. And the yard is full of about 2 ft. deep craters from him digging.
I would like to build a relatively small kennel ( something like 10'x10') but have no idea how to make it practical. Example washing down, some sort of drainage for poo/pee. Also covering it to help shade from extreme heat. I also will be keeping my other dog in there as well. Does anyone have any easy to follow plans for this?
TLDR Version: Dog destroying yard, need to build a kennel.

I have one of them 10x 6 chain link kennel up against house, built an L shaped fence around other side if kennel so she is protected. Put pave stones down inside so she can't di out. Have a roof w corrugated plastic. Hung a circular fan upside down screwed on rafters that blows down on her during summer

10x10 concrete slab with a fence around it and a dog house within.

Was this an inside dog already? You're going to change now? Could be a challenge.

dam man dont keep him in a 10x10 pen. If you love the dog let him be happy. You got the dog, deal with the holes. Its not that big of deal. I have 2, they dig.. but its not a big deal

I used the concrete patio blocks and bought a 10x10 kennel. You will want to stake the kennel down too. They also sell the kennel shades. They are like a net and won't hold water like a tarp will. They are much cheaper on amazon.

Okay. Just didn't know if it was intentional.

You plan on putting two dogs in a 10x10 kennel? Here's a plan, get rid of the dogs and give them to someone who doesn't care if they "mess" up their yard. You sound like my wife, pussy

Lowes sells the portable kennels for around 250.00. Either pour concrete or if you have a drive way or something similar, put it on that. Cover with tin/plastic for a roof and your set. I had one and it worked great. It is 5ft high by 10ft long sections. Easy to put together. If you dont have concrete you can build a little deck out of treated wood.

We put one of those premade chainlink dog kennels on a concrete slab for a GSD when I was little. Damn thing just pushed it around until she got out from under it. Bolted that thing down and she would just go in the corner and literally climb out. Finally, just left the gate open and all she did was lay by the door.

You got 2 choices
Build a kennel for the dog or bring it in the house and crate train it. Every retriever I've ever had have been hell on a yard. They spend so much time with you that they get separation anxiety had tear stuff up. Lastly bring that dog in the house and make it a part of the family. Not gonna effect how he retrieves one bit. He's gonna make your life easier during duck season....make his easier during the off season.
