I had to work today. I had no idea I had to work today when I partied like a rock star yesterday. So my plan to cook a drink beer all day today got shot to hell. I'll probably have leftover dove jambalaya.

Not sure yet. Probably black bean and quiona chili w/avocado. Or maybe just some broccoli.

Had a smoothie a few hours ago in attempts to make my head feel better (pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, avocado, spinach, coconut oil & flax seed)so I'm not very hungry. Gonna try to work up an appetite in just a bit.

Deep fried some wings the other night and tossed with homemade buffalo sauce, and they were so fantastic that we are deep frying 32 more tonight. 8 with the buffalo sauce, and then 4 more batches of 6 with different sauces:

- Octo Vinaigrette recipe from Momofuku
- Sriracha-Garlic with cilantro
- Sweet and Spicy Sticky Wings
- Baker's Gold

Also doing buttermilk fried chicken livers tossed in creamy buffalo sauce .. inspired by the sweetbreads at Sylvain.

Random stuff on the grill too.

Just threw my pork back ribs on the grill. Soaked them in orange, Pineapple and Apple juice for 2 hours and then put my rub and brown sugar on. Finished it off with spray butter before wrapping them and tossing them on the grill.

About to start the sides (potatoes au gratin and green beans).

Wife wanted to keep it simple.

I have a watermelon on ice I'm about to slice.

Going to grill some all beef burgers.

I might bake some oven fries.

I will pair this meal with a domestic pilsner served in the retro 16oz can.

I worked until lunch today. We ended up taking a family trip to a local park by the river and relaxed the afternoon away. One of the dogs laid in something dead and the wife's ride now smells like someone died in it. Therefore, I am currently on a field trip to the car wash that included a stop at the local Petco for K9 perfume and decided to hit the local BWW for take-out being that my plans of cooking this afternoon went to hell in a handbag. I'm currently playing trivia at the bar enjoying a beer with Steven, the barkeep.

I did a tenderloin, and some chicken thighs.

The tenderloin was in a basic bbq rub with lots of brown sugar, hickory smoked for a while, cooked off to an internal temp around 155.

The Chicken Thighs were marinated in some local bbq sauce mixed with Texas Pete and buttermilk.

Corn and turnip greens, and mac and cheese. And my wife's home made blueberry cobbler.

Did more chicken today, will post in a minute.
