I worked until lunch today. We ended up taking a family trip to a local park by the river and relaxed the afternoon away. One of the dogs laid in something dead and the wife's ride now smells like someone died in it. Therefore, I am currently on a field trip to the car wash that included a stop at the local Petco for K9 perfume and decided to hit the local BWW for take-out being that my plans of cooking this afternoon went to hell in a handbag. I'm currently playing trivia at the bar enjoying a beer with Steven, the barkeep.

I did a tenderloin, and some chicken thighs.

The tenderloin was in a basic bbq rub with lots of brown sugar, hickory smoked for a while, cooked off to an internal temp around 155.

The Chicken Thighs were marinated in some local bbq sauce mixed with Texas Pete and buttermilk.

Corn and turnip greens, and mac and cheese. And my wife's home made blueberry cobbler.

Did more chicken today, will post in a minute.

Fancy chicken salad... did this on a whim this afternoon...

Start with chicken breasts and smoke heavily with apple wood for about 30 minutes. Then grill them over direct heat until done.

Dice up and mix with dukes mayo and some yellow curry, serve in a pita with spinach.
