What's the biggest fish you've caught shore fishing?

I caught about an 80 pound gar from the banks of Lake Ponchartrain. Caught a 30 or 40 lb jack crevalle on the beach at Grand Isle.
Now that I'm hearing about these Spring time Makos in Destin, I'm considering bringing the Chicago shoreline salmon fishing technique of POWERLINING to the beach there!
I'm getting ready for next year. Getting some Finn Nor 12/0s to bring to the beach with my CO2 tanks!
More about Powerlining to get your line out 300-400 yards from the bank:

Will post pics of the first ever 1,000 pound Mako caught from the beach next April.

Seven-foot shark on the surfside at Chandeleur. I reeled it in with my Ambassdeur 5000 with 17 lb. test and medium-action pole, took about 45 minutes. Thought I was pretty bad-arse until I looked downshore and saw my buddy unhooking a similar-sized shark while holding it under his arm in a head-lock.

6 oz bluefish. If a dock counts then I change my answer to an 8 oz croaker.
All my big boys have come from a boat.

Looks like a kayak in the background. Can this be considered shoreline fishing if a kayak was used in the process of catching it?

fair question...they did use a kayak.
I didn't at Sebastian.

I've caught plenty shore fishing, but nothing that truly stands out, except for some pretty decent buzzes and a couple monster hangovers.
