Not many brand new SUVs under 35k worth a damn. Why not buy one a couple years old?

really enjoying our '13 RDX... wanted something smaller that still had a 6cyl engine... the jeeps are all super-nice though, as was the Volvo xc60

ETA: not a big people-mover though. only 4 adults comfortably... and not the hugest cargo area. the all-weather mats are money though! well worth the $ for any vehicle you purchase!

This is going to sound horrible but I could never buy a used car. I feel like I'm sleeping in someone else's bed.

I bought my wife a new explorer in November. We both love it, it has a third row seat if needed for passengers, it has nice interior features and gets 24 mpg

Grand Cherokee for sure. Buddy just bought a 13' Overland it's honestly one of the nicest SUVs I've ever sat in.

In no particular order:

Explorer
4 Runner
Yukon
Tahoe
Grand Cherokee
Touareg
Q7
Landcruiser
Lexus GX

Look at/drive all of those and decide. You can get all used with under 50k miles for less than $35k

I don't know if you can classify the new Rav4 as a SUV, but I got the wife a limited 6 months ago and it's got everything you can think of in it for around 32K.
