I really can not wrap my head around the problem with voter ID laws

The purpose of voter ID laws - ACCORDING TO REPUBLICANS - is to suppress the Democrat vote.

You won't read any of it, but I'll post it for fun:

This has all been posted before. Now you will cover your ears as hard as you can and continue to proclaim as loudly as possible you have no clue what the problem is. Voluntary ignorance is bliss.

So, why do you think that blacks are too lazy, stupid and ignorant to be able to figure out how to EASILY get an I.D. card?

Was it that difficult for you?

And the extended voting days by the left wasn't a ploy to get more democrats to vote? First time I can remember in over sixty years that deadlines were redrawn.

Translation:
Republicans want Thousands of Democrats in NC to be limited to only one vote each, but it would likely reduce Democrat votes.

Republicans in Ohio would prefer voters be living at the time they cast their ballot, but it too would likely reduce Democrat votes.

That about cover these egregious GOP viewpoints.

It is to suppress illegal voting. Of course everyone knows which party employs illegal votes as part of their campaign strategy. So yes, we are interested in suppressing the illegal Democrat votes.

Whereas the Democrat party is a real stickler when it comes to allowing military votes to be counted. You know, those guys on the front lines who have to rely on government to get their ballots back to the states on time, and if the govt delays, then their votes are not counted - the DEMs are lined up to prevent THAT 'injustice' but they just LOVE 'motor voter' - even want election day registration and voting.

The DEM party is run by scum - pure scum.

Voter Id's help prevent fraud. If these laws suppress Democratic votes, then Democratic voters are fraudulent no?

If a voter ID is of no cost to the individual and easy to get, why is anyone opposed to it? It is a solid effort to eliminate fraudulent voting. The fact that the left is staunchly opposed to this, makes it blatantly obvious that they depend upon fraudulent voters to get elected no?

The article posted by tuba, is mainly about early voting. The article does state that it is difficult for many poor to get the required ID that would be required to vote if it was required.

Aren't most of these poor voters getting government assistance? Do they require ID for that?

I would have thought ID would be required to sign up for and get a check and even cash the check?

How can dims believe they can deliver free healthcare to everybody in the country, but getting free IDs to just a fraction of the people is asking too much?

The dimocratix certainly seem to be able to get folks to the polls. Why can't they get these same people to the DMV?
