Well, I'm in incredible shape and stronger than I've ever been. That's good enough for me.

Yes it is, and I eat it from time to time.

fad diets
From what little research I've done and from talking to my friends doing the Paleo thing, I really can't say it should be considered a fad diet.
At it's core, it seems like a good approach to healthier eating. Of course I will never follow anything very strictly.

Potato chips and beer are full of calories. If that was the only calories I put in my body, I'd be a fat arse

at it's core it's not
but all the Paleo cookbooks with cookies, cupcakes, spaghetti, fried chicken etc is most certainly just a fad among all the housewives

$175 is what he pays for 3 meals a day for 5 days a week and they are fully cooked and delivered to our office daily. Sounds high, but if you factor in going get groceries, cooking, and delivery I guess it's not that bad.

not if you only put 1000 calories of them per day

$175 for 15 meals does not sound high, actually sounds like a very good deal

...and if I'm paying attention to my calorie count, I'm not loading up on potato chips and beer. Funny how that works.

I've been doing it for about a month and I am enjoying it. I follow it strict, meat and veggies with some fruit during the week. Usually will have a cheat meal during the weekend but only if I really feel like it. Dropped 7 pounds in the first 3 weeks and feel much better.

I've been thinking about starting this diet. The Paleo sandwiches at Magpie are

My only issue with the diet is the misinterpretation of the results by it's practitioners.
People lose weight or have body re-composition and immediately attribute it to their body responding to "the way humans are suppose to eat". They ignore the fact that by eliminating many items they normally would eat, they've lowered their calorie intake.
Weight loss is about calories consumed vs. calories burned. It has nothing to do with eating like a caveman.

Sure it is. You can eat mcdonalds and donuts everyday and you will lose weight if in a calorie deficit.
