Saw a pet pig on a leash this weekend that was charming as frick. Thinking of getting one. Also debated a single hen since we'd at least get some eggs. Thoughts OT?

Pigs are as smart as most dogs, chickens are basically mindless. So pig

buddy had a pot belly at his house (50 acres) for a long time and it was a great pet. Moped around the property minding its own business and would eat all the scraps

Having a pet chicken sounds terrible. Not sure I could ever have an emotional attachment to a chicken. At least pigs are supposedly as smart as dogs, can even be house-trained, etc.

Chickens are fun, I used to have 4. The only problem is that they will shite everywhere....and double that in the places you don't want them to. If you get chickens, get at least 3. Little known fact is that they are very social animals.

i would go with pig because my cat might like the chicken a little bit too much

Get a chicken and hypnotize it to make it think it's a pig.

Those seem like really opposing choices.

Get a sand cat or one of those big-eared foxes.

pot belly pig. They actually make really good pets and you can train them to sniff for truffles.

A chicken is not a pet.

My wife has a pot belly, there are miniature pigs which are 20-30 lbs and regular pot bellies. We have a reg, which is ~120 lbs. Much less work than a dog. Intelligence of a 3 year old child, and potty trained. She lives in the house and goes out to eat and go to the bathroom. They live 20-25 years. She is better than our dogs or our kids...
