"If you restrict those of faith from applying their conscience to the world around them, then you quench the progress of freedom."

The 9-11 terrorists applied "their conscience to the world around them" - was that OK? Or are only Christians allowed to "apply their conscience to the world around them" ?

That's a very small percentage of Muslims, just as the radicals are usually a small percentage of any faith.

How is this in anyway controversial?

Does every single statement now need a qualifier? And just imagine the outrage Liberals would have had if he DID use the qualifier of "except radical Islam".

Why didn't you name the religion of the 9-11 terrorists?

Where your freedom contstrains freedom of others. Muslims killing others impacts the freedom of living.

I'll bite. This is one of the dumbest posts I've read in a long time. No, killing thousands of people because you believe your religion tells you to is wrong, regardless of what religion you believe in. For you to equate mass murder with domestic policy really shows how off the reservation you are.

Just to clarify, are you arguing that the freedom to blow up buildings and kill masses of people somehow equates to some liberals getting pissy about birth control? Really? You don't see a difference between saving an unborn life and killing thousands, as long as the person is fervent in what they are doing? I guess the motive will always justify the means and end huh?

Alright, using your example, terrorist killed 2,996 people applying their conscience. Christians, applying theirs, are trying to prevent millions from being killed. Now, which one is truly for freedom?

That's a really bad comparison. The terrorists were trying to effect Western geopolitical policy. IE, they want our influence removed from the Middle East. Hobby Lobby is not trying to stop women from using birth control. They just don't want to subsidize it.

are you seriously trying to equate killing someone, and not providing free abortions (when the receipient has MULTIPLE outlets to obtain them free on their own)?
