My first OT post so here goes. I've been dipping for over 20 years and Copenhagen at that. I'm really wanting to quit but realize I'm gonna need help. Anyone one else tried this with medicine or other methods?? Thanks for the help.

Easy, I never started. That's one gross habit.

I decided at a young age that I didn't want to be a trashy redneck. So I didn't ever start dipping.

I quit cold turkey when I graduated college and got my first office job.

Forgot to buy a can one day

Seriously. I guess I just wasn't addicted after 10 years of dipping. I quit cold turkey and never had the urge again

Camel snus. I know it's still tobacco but it kept the nicotine and oral fixation down.

I quit cold turkey as well the beginning of this year, but chewing not dipping. And I've been chewing on and off for 30 years, real heavy the last 10 or so. Just like any habit, until you are really ready to quit you won't. Not easy, good luck!

My sister's husband dips. She's picked up his Dr. Pepper spit bottle numerous times and took a swig thinking it was her soda

I used nicotine gum for about three months and then switched to sunflower seeds. I dipped for ten years before that. Been clear for three years now. I had tried one other time to quit but started back up. The gum really helped. Get the 4 mg walgreens brand.

Sunflower seeds. I quit dipping cold turkey and started eating sunflower seeds. Course after a while I had to also ween myself off the sunflower seeds. Can't promise it will work for you but it did for me. I've been tobacco free since September last year and I don't miss it one bit.
Good luck
