I dipped for about 8 years before I quit.

Never had any health problems with it but basically the fear of some kind of mouth cancer started to outweigh my enjoyment of dipping. Decided I didn't want to risk it anymore. I plan to get back into it when I'm like 60 and DGAF.

I dip a lot less than I used to, probably like, twice a week now, but I'm still trying to quit completely.

I like it when I go to the gas station and they're out of Grizzly.

Which time?

In all seriousness, it's easy for me to quit dipping with nicotine gum....the problem for me is quitting the gum.

That's exactly my plan. I miss it prettyoften. Anytime I'm around buddies that dip I'm tempted but know that I'll slide back into it.

Get some nic gum.
Have a morning dip
Chew nic gum till lunch
Have a lunch dip
Chew nic gum till evening
Have after dinner dip
Chew nic gum till about to go to bed
Have a night dip
Do this for 2 weeks
3rd week start cutting back on night dip
4th week start cutting back on lunch dip
After month try and just chew nic gum
After another month of just nic gum
Start rotating double mint
After 3 months hopefully off nicotine
Its a slow progression but easier
(chew nic gum only when craving tho, not constant)

I just recently did this. You have to plan your times to dip at first. Like tell yourself only dip when playing golf,or fishing or only dip with friends. Then it comes to the point where you dont even think about having a dip. But then you get those moments you just want to go fishing.

Already there plus two. Started when I was 19. Quit twice during my twenties because the girlfriends ask me to. They eventually left one day and I had a can in my pocket the next.

Today is my first day without dip in several years. Not using anything to help, so we'll see.

Dont dip for a month then look at your bank statement. Especially if all you dip in copenhagen.

Same can be said for a gf or wife. Snuff makes no promises, won't cheat on you and will not get up in the middle of the night and not come back.

We all have vices. This is mine.

cope isn't that bad in my neck of the woods anywhere from $3.50 - $4.75.

Skoal, Red Man, and Red seal are 5-6 a pop.

GRT.....Several months ago I quit after over 20 years of dipping (2 cans a day). Just decided "frick it" and went cold turkey. Sucked for about 3 or 4 days.....then the whole craving just sort of went away. Now I wonder why I was so addicted to that crap...and getting over it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.....

It's not even addiction for me anymore, just a habit.

I only dip a couple times a week though.

I havnt dipped in 5 years so maybe things have changed, but cope use to be 5-6 a pop and grizzly2-3. I think they use to pay 2-3 if you would take a can of red seal.
