Filling out brackets is fun. I like fun. Besides, I like having a rooting interest.

But good on you.

Are some of you guys going into pools where you first have to invest money in order to participate. If so that may be why

I just enjoy making predictions for ?the fun of it. I pretty much know half of it is going to be wrong but oh well its still good basketball to watch even if my elite 8 team loses in first round

Or you can just not take your bracket too seriously... It's supposed to be fun. If messing up your bracket ruins the tourney. I think you're doing it wrong.

we made my friend go watch somewhere else yesterday because he was rooting for florida (when it was still kinda in question) for the sake of his bracket.

frick you if you do shite like that. frick you.

This.

If making a bracket makes the tournament less enjoyable, then you're not doing something right.

It's a blast talking shite with my friends and co-workers about their picks and my picks.

Also makes watching the games with them at lunch way more interesting and fun.

If you have no friends and are forced to watch it alone, then I guess I understand....

My family and I have a monopoly night once a month. I used to get all stressed out about winning and it just wasn't fun. Now, I just watch my wife and kid play monopoly, and its a lot less stressful now......

Ok so why did you want manhattan to win? How do you decide what side of the conflict you're on?

You actually sound like a puss that has trouble prioritizing.

its called being an overly competitive person. Its who I am. I didnt advocate everyone doing it this way, I just agreed with the OP that I personally enjoy it much more without doing a bracket. But of course, like everyone else, if you arent doing it the same way you are doing it then you are doing it wrong. Isnt that what you meant to say?

The whole point is, when you dont do a bracket, you dont have to worry about prioritizing. you can just sit back and enjoy how it unfolds regardless of the outcome. I could give 2 shits who wins any of the games for the most part when i dont do a bracket, I just enjoy the beauty of the dance. No conflicts, no prioritizing, just awesome basketball

No the whole point is you can't prioritize so you just avoid it. Does your husband fill out brackets?

and you cant enjoy the "purity" of the game when you fill out a bracket?

you realize that you "rooting" for a team is not going to affect the outcome one bit? Just watch the game and enjoy what happens. You can do that either way

Good basketball?

Most of those close games were FAR from good basketball.

Ohio St-Dayton was outstanding

NC St-St. Louis made me hate the game

Until they lose one game, then they were in the same boat as the no bracket pickers.

I have duke in the elite 8 but i was rooting for mercer the entire game. You realize who u root for has no impact on who wins right?

This is the first time in 40 years, be it an old timing news paper bracket, or a more modern computer bracket, that I said screw it.......
