This is completely outdoors unrelated, but I felt like telling someone and y'all are cooler than the O-T (don't need to be told to PIHB).

Found out last night an old friend of mine died Friday. She was 40. Too young. She had her demons, but she was always fun and full of life and was an important part of my youth.

Love your loved ones guys, it can all end anytime.

Thanks for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers guys.

Sorry for the loss.

This is the main reason getting older sucks. More and more drop by the wayside as you move along.

This thread stirs up emotions that won't soon leave me. I am very sorry for your loss and pray that you move through the grieving process at your own pace. Don't rush it or it will come right back.

Prayers sent.

My stepdad went to the dr today for chest pains and they called the ambulance to take him to hosp.

They admitted him and we haven't heard anything yet.
His dad and both of his brothers died young from heart attacks and strokes.

Sorry to hear man. The only advice I can offer is to cherish the good times you had with her in your heart and do the best you can. I hope her son is in good hands going forward.

My condolences to you and your family.

I was young when I lost my grandfather...and didn't really think 59 was that young....but then I lost my dad at 60...and I was only 37. Then that was too young. Then I lost a friend earlier this month that was only 31 in a diving accident...I'm 41...and reality is starting to set in. Never thought about death that much...and to be honest don't want to other than to make sure the Mrs is taken care of when I go.

I believe as my father believed...when the good Lord calls you home....it's just your time. No sense in worrying about what you can't control.

I'm sorry bro. I know how hard it is to make sense of loss involving heroine. Some of my friends couldn't shake it either ...sucks.
