When the MMEA boat arrived, the fishermen then handed over the raft into their custody.
However, a Kuala Linggi MMEA spokesman said the raft sunk into the sea while they were trying to bring the raft onboard.
Malaysian jokes will be the new Pollack jokes.

isn't that the busiest shipping channel on Earth (or one of)?
can anyone tell us what has to happen for that raft to be deployed? Would it deploy automatically in a crash or is it something that manually has to be activated?

Yeah, someone has to remove it from under 1 of the seats, open the door and throw it out.

He maybe correct BUT he's not trustworthy. He's just a puppet.

Can someone post a good article summarizing everything?
The OP obviously sucks and my buddy is asking for a synopsis and I'm too lazy to summarize all the crazy events and theories that have taken place.
Chicken posted a good article a couple of days ago but new info has come to light since.

That's way south of the last now disputed sighting. Anyone know how the ocean currents run in that straight, i.e., would they push debris south?
quote:
The climate of the strait is hot and humid and is characterized by the northeast monsoon during the (northern) winter and the southwest monsoon during the summer. The average annual rainfall varies between 76 inches (1,930 mm) and 101 inches (2,570 mm). Throughout the year, the current flows northwest through the strait. Surface-water temperatures in the strait are 87 to 88 °F (30.6 to 31.1 °C) in the east and may be as much as 4 °F (2.2 °C) lower in the west. The close proximity of land and the discharge of large rivers result in a low salinity for the strait.
