Anybody tried Ole Saint (Deuce's place on Royal)?

I'm hoping it's not another tourist trap like Mannings. It looks like the chef has worked at some of the top places around town.

That's basically all they have down there.
I've not been, but it looks like a conservative menu. Burgers, seafood, steaks.
You don't need a first rate kitchen to knock those out of the park.

Not yet. Gonna walk my beast over there in a few and pre game for Muses.
Deuce is one of my all time favorite Saints. I can help but do that.

I haven't been either, but walked by the place the other day, peeked inside, and was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see they had an actual somewhat decent beer selection on draft.

This is becoming a must. Mannings realized that after the fact. Hell sandwich shops on Feret have 30 taps now.

My friend manages it, but I haven't been yet. He was telling me about the menu and that they only have one steak, one burger, one fish dish etc. I don't know much else about it though. Post a review if you go.

I went last week and had the Mississippi rabbit pot pie with a side of Brussels sprouts and they were INCREDIBLE. My friend ate the burger (loved it!) and we shared fried eggplant & the pork fries. I actually had a hard time choosing what to eat...it all sounded awesome. The waiter was really good, can't remember his name, but he was just enough helpful, but not intrusive. The bar had about 50 taps with a great selection of local beers. I highly recommend this place.
