Are you trying to say a child molester is on the same level as 2 adults willingly engaging in homosexual activity?

Homosexuality is not the same as child molestation

Saying that no one chooses to be gay is ignorant and flies in the face of science actually. The most extensive study to be performed to determine if homosexuality is genetic or a product of the environment indicates that only about 33% of men and only 20% of women claiming to be gay are so because of their genetics. The rest have chosen to be gay.

Example: actress Anne Heche went from being straight to choosing to date Ellen to choosing to like men again.

Then how come every morning when i wake up i dont have to choose if i like men or women? Ive never even thought about choosing, i just happen to be attracted to females and thats all there is to it

Anne Heche just happens to be bisexual

I accept gay people because I believe everyone deserves common courtesy. I believe that until you give me a good reason to not like you, I'll treat you with kindness.

If other people need a liberal media agenda to scare them into accepting gay people, that's their problem.

Myself, I knew of only one gay person that I grew up with. Well, he wasn't gay when we were kids. He was a twin and he was way girly when he was growing up, but his twin didn't show these signs. But sure as shite once he got older, he was a cocksucker. And yes, he died of the AIDS when Aids first came out back in the early 1980's.

As far as accepting them, well, to each his/hers own as long as they try not to push there BS on me or there ideas of wanting special attentions. I think all people as equal unless they give me a reason to hate them.

Let's see this extensive study. I would like to know where you got your science.

You're awful hate filled to be a happy gay dude Rickety. Always despising, hating, judging and calling names. You might need some therapy.

I'll pray for you my friend, so that one day you may grow and learn to be as accepting as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was of all people.

I don't agree with gay marriage in my church. Marriage in the church is a covenant between the man, woman and God. To take a stance otherwise is just foolish in my opinion. There is nothing in scripture to back up your argument. Now if you want to interpret scripture in more of modern day slant then go ahead, as there are plenty of denominations that will welcome you. If the Episcopalians want to do it then go ahead. Civil union is ok with me.

Marriage isn't just a religious idea. It's origin cannot be traced to either beginning as a social or religious ceremony. However we do know that marriage between same sex individuals existed long before the birth of Christianity. So Christians trying to claim ownership of a ceremony they didn't actually invent is just a gigantic ball of horseshite. Why don't the people that have a problem with the homosexuals using the word marriage make up a new term for a religious ceremony that is like marriage instead of trying to force other individuals to use another term for the same damn thing?

Fine - call it marriage. Just don't try to force my church to perform the ceremony. Why do you want to me married in a church when you obviously disagree with the tenets of the church?

Marriage is in the Old Testament (before Christ for atheists), so yes its History predates Christianity. However, in its long history it has always been a covenant between a man and a woman and arguably was established under religious pretenses.
